• When Maxine stepped into her office, she felt peace. A lot had happened to her in a single day. One more, and she would burst into annoyance.
• But fate has its ways. Moreso if it was in the mood to upset you. So Maxine’s peace was disturbed when Sean and Ruth showed up.
