Chapter 5

• As Logan asked me to visit Rose moon pack with him, I agreed.
• It’s been three years since I meet my family, and five years since I have had a peaceful talk with them.
• I miss them, but never have the courage to ask him, if I can meet with them.
• So as today he has given me a choice, I will not miss this chance.
• I wanted to meet them, and about the consequences, I don’t care about them.
• I know my life can’t change to be good.
• He will never love me, as a mate loves his mate.
• So at least, I can get this simple happiness by meeting my mom, my brother, and my father.
• The next day, I and Logan started our journey to the rose moon pack.
• As we are going as Luna and alpha of the blue crescent pack, we are taking the road inside the woods.
• These roads are made for joining the pack, and only we werewolves know about them.
• So we will reach there in two hours.
• We get in our car.
• Logan and I sit in the backseat, while Logan’s Beta Evan was driving.
• After coming to this pack, Evan is the only person, who knows about the actual truth of our relationship.
• Evan is Logan’s childhood friend and closest person.
• Logan shares everything with him.
• So it was normal for him to know.
• But the most surprising thing is, though he knows everything, he never
• Disrespects me. Instead, he tries to help me.
• He tries to make me feel comfortable in this pack.
• Though I know it can’t happen ever, that everything became perfect in my life.
• But I appreciate his effort.
• That’s why I also like him a lot.
• In these three years, we have become friends, and he is the only person with whom I can share my pain.
• I feel comfortable when he is around me.
• So I am relieved that he is coming with us.
• Sitting in the car, I thought about my past.
• That was the first day when I started my job as a secretary.
• I was joining the office, so I called Marina early morning, and told her I would come to collect notes after the office.
• But she assured me she would send my notes to my office, so I should do my work with no tension.
• I got ready in a white shirt and Grey color pencil skirt. I wrapped a light blue color scarf and went out after locking my door.
• When I reached the office, I was fifteen minutes early.
• So I went inside and took the elevator to reach my floor.
• Jane had already told me what would be my job. But I wanted to check
• Everything before Mr. Clark could complain.
• When I reached my floor, as usual, Jane was sitting in her chair.
• “Good morning Andrea. You are early, very good,” she gave me a smile that made my day.
• Jane is a type of person who can make anyone happy, though they are struggling with any type of pain.
• In a day I liked her.
• “Yes. I don’t want to be late on my first day at least. And you can call me Anne.” I said, and she nodded.
• “Good with me. Andrea is huge.” She said and I chuckle.
• After talking with her for some time, and collecting my schedule, I went to my office.
• Jane has told me already what my jobs are. So I start my work.
• It’s almost eight, and Mr. Clark will be here in nine.
• Before that, I had to arrange his schedule, replied to the emails, and arrange the files he needed to attend that day.
• When the clock struck nine, my intercom rang.
• “Hello,” I said, picking it up
• “Miss Jackson I need a black coffee without sugar in my office.” Mr. Clark
• said and cut the call. I looked at the watch and it was nine in the morning.
• Shit, I forget that I have to serve him coffee.
• So I ran to the pantry, made his coffee, and went to his office.
• After I heard him say come in, I enter the office and place the cup of coffee on his desk.
• “Here is your coffee sir,” I said
• “Thanks. Jane must have forgotten to tell you about this?” he asked with a smile, but I feel guilty.
• “No sir. It was my fault. I would not forget next time.” I apologized.
• “OK. Take this file and sort out these. I want them before lunch. If you need any help, you can ask me.” He said and dismiss me.
• I went to my desk and did my work.
• But I didn’t know why his face came in front of me from time to time.
• I didn’t know what the thing is. But, I felt attracted to him.
• But this was wrong.
• I agree he was handsome, but he was not my mate.
• I couldn’t feel anything about anyone except my mate. It is wrong.
• I would wait for my mate.
• I composed my thought and tried to bury myself in work.
• My work was over before lunchtime, and I went to his office to deliver his file.
• But he was not in his office, so I kept them there and came back to my office.
• At lunchtime, I had my lunch in the office cafeteria.
• After the entire day of work, I came back home and completed my studies.
• Marina was helpful.
• She sent me all the notes of classes.
• The day passed with no problem and I was so busy, that I didn’t have time to think about anything.
• At night, mom called me, and after talking with her and telling her everything I went to sleep.
• Mom was happy that I was passing my time with some work.
• She also told me to take care of myself and don’t tire myself.
• But I assured her I was fine and happy.
• This time of day when I talked with my mother, was the best time for me.
