Chapter 8 Declan

  • Declan's POV
  • I couldn't help but follow her as she walked to the back, knowing her shift was about to end. I stood in the doorway, watching as she knelt to take the clothes out of the dryer, fully oblivious that I was there . My dick became hard as I stared at the form of her fat ass in the air as she stooped over to get the last of the clothing. When I reached over and placed my hands on her hips, she quickly froze. I watched as she took a small smell of the air and spun around to face me. I pressed up against her. I could feel her skin warm up as I touched it.
  • This is the reaction she should have had when we first met, but she is only impacted when I am close to or touch her.
  • I moved my hands up the side of her body and into her hair before grabbing a handful, curious to see her reaction. I drew it back so her face was right in front of me. I saw lust and terror in her eyes; she wanted me to kiss her, but she was still afraid of me. My lips collided with her soft pink lips, causing me to growl. My inner wolf was ecstatic at the prospect of finally tasting her. I sucked her bottom lip before dragging my tongue down it, eager to get a better taste of her.
  • I felt her lips split and inserted my tongue into her mouth, tasting everything. Her perfume was driving my wolf insane. He wanted to seize her right now, but I knew it would frighten her , so I resisted.
  • "That's exactly the reaction I was hoping for."
  • She looked at me, perplexed. We were going to say anything when she was cut off. When Jenna entered, my friend's face reddened charmingly with shame. Jenna gave me a look before my friend took off. I turned to face Jenna, my arms crossed across my chest.
  • "I told you not to approach her," Jenna's calm but commanding tone upset my wolf.
  • "You already know she's my mate."
  • The elderly lady took a step forward. "That girl has a lot going on. " Do you believe you can just walk in and confuse her? She has no idea you're her mate, and she won't until you mark her. She will not abandon Abby in order to be with you. Melissa has been her mother since she was born. Loves her as if she were a daughter, not a sister. Don't expect her to choose you over her partner just because you' re her mate."
  • My wolf barked. Jenna arched an eyebrow at my reaction to her remarks, but she didn't appear bothered. My body trembled as I attempted to prevent my raging wolf from taking over.
  • "I never said I'd force her to pick between us. I know Abby will accompany Melissa wherever she goes. I'm not attempting to divide them. I just adore her and Abby. "I don't care what you say about her being mine," I snap at her. Jenna's calmness wavered, unprepared for my rage before her eyes softened and she exhaled a sigh of relief.
  • "I thought you wanted to take her away from Abby, but it doesn't make a difference." She has no idea you're her mate, and Abby's father will not allow Abby to leave with Melissa."
  • "What do you mean, how did you find out so much about her?" They are brothers and sisters, and who is Abby's father?" My wolf had gone unusually silent, and I was feeling increasingly agitated and perplexed. I could feel he knew something I didn't, but he just faded into the background of my consciousness, out of reach.
  • Jenna's face turned pale, and she began to sweat. Her worry was visible in the pores on her skin. I was becoming very irritated. First, my wolf flees, and now Jenna has gone completely silent.
  • "Wait, what the heck is going on?" "What are you not telling me?" I yelled at her. Jenna took a nervous look around.
  • "All I can say is that I knew her mother and father."
  • "What? "Who are your mum and father?"
  • "Melissa's.
  • Abby and Melissa share a mother but have different fathers."
  • Her words made sense now. He was not going to allow Melissa to take Abby when Melissa wasn't even his daughter. So, if Abby's father is still alive, why is Melissa caring for his child? I had a lot of questions that needed to be answered, but I knew Jenna wouldn't be the one to answer them.
  • I stormed out of the wash and back into the café, looking for her everywhere. I needed answers, and she was willing to give them to me even if I had to force them. But she was not present.
  • What happened to her? I have no idea what Pack she belongs to, so I can't just go up and demand that her Alpha hand her over. I attempted to catch her aroma as I stepped outdoors, but she was long gone.
