• A mahogany desk in the center of the room looked brand new because it still had plastic over the top of it. The carpet was thick and dark, and it was warm under my feet. Walking out of the room again. I kept going through the doors till I got to another corridor of doors. When I opened the first one, I found it was a bedroom.
• Knowing Abby had to be hiding somewhere in this house, I began opening every single door. I arrived at the last one, which was next to a set of stairs leading to yet another floor of this mansion. Opening the door, I could tell it was a child's room right away. It was pink, with a white four-poster single bed and fluffy pink unicorn bedding.
