Chapter 7 Boss

• After reprimanding Kelvin the duo left for Mardy's audio studio floor to fetch her . Since he heard of her departure from their family house he felt guilty of not protecting her interest like a good brother should do . And now he had made up his mind to support her, and help her pursue her dreams after taking her with him to talk sense into their father's head.
• Mardy was talking to her producer about not releasing her album yet , she feared what her father might do if he found out that the reason she's been disobeying him all this while was because of music . When she saw her brother and his assistant she reported earlier as a threat coming in her direction , hiding behind her producer she began to shake visibly and clutched the hem of her dress tightly not minding the stares being thrown at her.
• Producer Xavier formally known as Mr X was persuading Mardy to launch her album that has one of her hit songs `` titled " free as the wind " because it has been getting views despite not being fully released yet , he believed the song will be a hit and get music views as the best music of the year. but the girl is having none of it , and he could understand her fears about her father . But he can't help it because he's been getting calls to release the music so as to bring it to the public which he has been ignoring for a while now , but don't know how long he will continue to ignore it.
• But something caught his attention when he saw her standing behind him like she's hiding from a man eating monster, turning to catch a gaze he noticed that the girl was shaking visibly with glistening eyes , and tears threatening to fall any moment, he panicked for a moment.
• "Mardy?" , he called " are you sick?should I take you to the hospital " he couldn't help but ask . but what shocked him was the girl's response.
• "m--yy- b-ro-ther-he's-he-re to ta-ke me " she stuttered, not getting herself to say a proper sentence .
• Mr X followed her line of sight and saw a man gracefully walking towards their direction and the air around him heavy and eludes a dark aura. The atmosphere was tense as everyone was expecting something trivial to happen .
• Seeing that he's boss intimidating others with his icy statue and suffocating everyone with his dark aura , he stepped forward to lighten the atmosphere.
• ". Good day sir , I presume you are producer X , I am Kelvin , personal assistant to Elliot Park, ceo of Apex Group if Companies and we are here to fetch his sister Mardy" he said and pointed to Mardy while smiling half-heartedly
• As if a bucket of cold water was poured on him , Mr X stood at a spot with his jaw dropped when he heard he was standing on the same ground with Elliot park he was transfixed , oh bless you Mardy for making me meet Elliot park face to face , Come to think of it no wonder she refused to launch her album because she's the only daughter of George park ,patriarch of the Park family.
• His mouth formed an O cos he found out she's from a wealthy and affluent family . The only daughter at that, one who was supposed to be an influential person in the society , ordering people around, is in his not-so-famous studio behaving like someone from an average family.
• Calling himself back to order he wiped his hands free from any dust on his clothes and stretched it forward for a handshake.
• ". Nice to meet you sir " he greeted with his eyes shining like someone who had found a treasure box .
• Smiling and showing his set of dentals he shaked Kelvin , pulling Mardy out of his back who had shock written all over her face , he shoved her to Kelvin.
• ". Here she is sir "he said clasping his hands together as if he had done a huge task. smiling at him Kelvin thanked him for his cooperation and signaled Mardy to meet her brother.
• Overcoming her shock at the new turn of event Mardy gave Mr X the look that says.
• " you're so unbelievable ". shrugging his shoulders he also gave her the look that says.
• "I can't help it, your brother is not someone I can afford to mess with".
• still smiling and waving at them till they exited the floor through the elevator .
• Sulking , Mardy not bothering to talk to her brother kept her face straight, not daring to catch his gaze and hatching a new plan of escape .
• With an indifferent attitude he chuckled at his sulking sister ". it's the silent treatment huh !". he said in an indifferent tone while exiting the now stopped elevator.
• Mardy, knowing she had to act fast, caught sight of a graceful figure dressed in all black leather attire with a slender body of that of a model rushed and grabbed her not mind the look of shock on the lady's face . Turned to face her brother.
• ". She's my Boss, she signed me and I can't leave the project or premises without her permission " she said at a go
• Angel with shocked expression at the new turn of event kept glancing from brother to sister .
