Chapter 8 Filming a Commercial

• It was a filming day for ‘Written in the Stars’, and Camellia had just gotten herself styled as she walked out of the makeup booth all dressed up.
• But she was caught by Clara as soon as she stepped out of the booth. “Cammie, something urgent came up, so I’ll have to go. Are you okay with being alone?”
• Camellia nodded. “I’ll be fine. Just go.”
• “Okay! Call me if anything happens!” Clara pointed at her phone, then turned and went away.
• The children had promised Director Hopkins that they would film the commercial in an hour, so they must not be late!
• At a filming location for a children’s toothpaste commercial, Clara watched Kenneth and Angela leave the stage, then excitedly went over and hugged them. “My darlings, you did so well! Zero cuts! I’m so proud of you!”
• The director walked over and gave Clara a thumbs-up. “Miss Monet, these two are geniuses, and they learn so fast! I’ve directed so many shows and commercials, and this is the first time I’ve had young actors who went through everything so smoothly! And to think it’s their first time!”
• Kenneth put his hands in his suit pockets and said calmly, “That’s because we inherited Mommy’s genes.”
• Angela also beamed with pride. “Yup! Sir, our acting skills are all inherited from Mommy! She’s good at cooking, but she’s even better at acting!”
• “Is that so? Then I’d love to meet your mommy some time!” The director seemed extremely curious.
• What sort of woman would have the ability to have such amazing children? I’m utterly envious!
• Clara looked at the time, then hastily took the children’s hands. “Quick! Your mommy should be wrapping up work soon, so let’s go home in time to change out of your outfits!”
• Watching the trio leave, the director seemed to have thought of something as he took out his phone and dialed a number.
• “Hello, Director Ross. I remember you saying that the new show Young Master James invested in needed two good child actors, right? I found two geniuses of a lifetime here. They’re fraternal twins. Hmm… a boy and a girl. Sure, sure, I’ll send it to you.”
• In the president’s office in Ludlow Corporation, James was reading a document when his phone beeped to notify him of an incoming voice message.
• The man narrowed his eyes, then played the message.
• “James, do you have a love child somewhere? I saw a boy who looks exactly like you… Right, I even took a photo. I’m sending it over!”
• It was from his childhood friend, Leo Collins.
• “Nonsense!”
• James was about to turn off his phone when he saw the photo of a little boy Leo had sent. When James’ dark gaze fell upon the boy’s face, he froze.
• The boy in the photo was only about 3 or 4 years old, but the features on his face were already well-defined. He had deep dark eyes, a straight nose, and small thin lips… which looked exactly like he would belong in the Ludlow Family.
• It wouldn’t be wrong to call this boy a mini-sized James.
• I’ve never even had a girlfriend, so could I have a child?
• Five years ago, someone had tricked James into sleeping with Cindy once, but he never touched anyone else after that.
• All these years, he kept a close eye on Cindy, so he should know if she gave birth to a child. James’ sharp gaze was trained on Kenneth’s handsome face, which was an exact replica of his own. Then, his pursed lips turned up into a smile, and a certain amused look came to his cold eyes.
• He navigated to the contacts list and found a number, then made a call.
