Chapter 5 The Kids Want to Debut?

  • Everyone gasped after hearing that the seemingly rude woman got the lead role without even auditioning.
  • “What? That’s the lead role! Is he giving it to her just like that?”
  • “Did we come here for nothing?”
  • “Why her?”
  • Cindy looked even more perplexed. “James, the lead role should have been mine!”
  • Before he could say a thing, Camellia flashed a disdainful smile. “I appreciate that, but my apologies. I’m not the type of woman who chooses the easy way out. I’m here for an audition, and I will land a role with my capabilities. I don’t need you to give it to me.”
  • Wow! She’s turning her nose up after being offered the sweet deal!
  • The actors coming for the audition shot Camellia scornful looks, as if they wanted to tear away her facade and show the world her true colors.
  • Cindy stared at her arrogant expression and had to repress her urge to tear her apart.
  • Why is she always in my way?
  • Camellia was still staring at James’s face. He looks just like my son. Who is he?
  • Anyway, she nodded slightly at him. “Well, since you are being gracious, it’d be rude to keep turning down your offer. Thank you, Young Master James, and I promise I won’t disappoint.”
  • Cindy almost cracked her fingernails from the intense hatred as she silently seethed.
  • Isabel, good play! You’ve managed to bag the role effortlessly!
  • Just wait and see. I will make you regret your decision today!
  • Although she wanted to claw at Isabel’s face, she put on a seductive smile. “Camellia, it’s a role given to you by James! You have to give your best. After all, you went through so much to get the role!”
  • Camellia smiled innocently. “Thank you for your advice, Miss Golden Globes! It was a pretty exhilarating exchange with you today!”
  • Cindy waved at Camellia, her eyes looking as sharp as a razor, which Camellia was not afraid of.
  • While Camellia was at the audition, Clara was busy dealing with the twins at home.
  • Kenneth took a seat beside her. “Miss Monet, I want to cut a deal.”
  • She stubbed out the cigarette and picked up a glass of water for herself with a smile. “Sure, my man. Go ahead.” Every time she saw him, she couldn’t help but admire his coolness.
  • He took out a business card from his pocket. “Miss Monet, I want to debut with Angie at the TV show, doing what Mommy does. But you have to keep it a secret from her. And you need to find us a manager we can trust.”
  • Clara almost choked on the glass of water. “Y-You sure? Like, sure-sure?”
  • He nodded confidently. “I’m a man of my words.”
  • She looked at the incredibly handsome face in front of him, and she could already see him evolving into a cash cow of hers.
  • Anyhow, the twins had a lot of crazy ideas, so she could not trust them easily.
  • “Ken, you knew that your mommy didn’t want you to debut, but you are doing this. Why is that?”
  • He stole a glance in the direction of Camellia’s bedroom and frowned. “Didn’t you say I’m a man? I want to provide for Mommy and Angie. I don’t want Mommy to work too hard.”
  • Angela licked on a lollipop and ran over with her stubby legs. “Miss Monet, I want to debut too! I want to get money and buy delicious food for Mommy!”
  • Clara almost teared up from their words. “Great! My cash cows…Oops, my darlings, I promise you I will help!”
