Chapter 5

• Jane's POV
• I was running out of time; my mind could not come up with anything. Suddenly, my eyes fell on an area in the party hall.
• I understood that it was the only way to escape from here; I started walking towards that area, but before I could reach there, my foot stopped, and I thought.
• If I am leaving, why not spoil Mr. Anthony's so-called reputation, which he had earned by selling my mother's body.
• People who appraise him for his success should also know what kind of person he is. I know I might spoil my sister's engagement by doing this, but once I succeed, no one can find me to blame.
• Amelia might like it because she is anyway not interested in this engagement.
• I turned my direction towards the table where the mic was placed; I took the mic in my hands and walked to my escape area.
• I know my Mum might not like what I am going to do, but this is the only way to protect myself from this cruel world.
• Once I reached the place I wanted, I turned on the mic, my body was getting uncomfortable by every passing moment. And it was getting unbearable for me to stand this feeling in my body.
• Marco's POV 
• When we returned to the banquet hall, my eyes never left Jane's body; I felt like today's time was running very slow.
• Just by looking at her, my junior member starts reacting, and its reaction is so strong that it is painful for me.
• I saw her getting uncomfortable; she was sweating a little and believed me that sweat made her look more appealing and hard for me to control my desires.
• I think her Mr. Gilbert had already drugged her; I liked it, this old man, or should I say my, would-be father-in-law was smart and acted immediately as per his words.
• I saw her walking towards the big balcony in the banquet hall corner, but she stopped for a moment like she was thinking something, and then she turned in a different direction.
• It looked like she was doing something; I really wanted to know what was going on in her little brain. 
• She took a mic from the table and again walked towards the balcony.
• I frowned this time as an uneasy feeling crept my mind, but before I could think or do anything, I heard her voice.
• And I forgot about everything I just wanted to hear that voice moaning my name beneath me.
• I want to carve my name in her body so that every man in the world knows whom she belongs.
• Author's POV
• Jane started speaking on the mic, with a lot of sorrow in her voice "Hello everyone, as you all already know that I am the second daughter of Gilberts, I want to share something with you all before we start the ceremony."
• Everyone's attention fell on her, seeing her worried face; everyone was very interested in knowing what she wanted to say.
• Marco frowned; he felt like something big and very bad is about to happen, but he cannot stop anything because now everyone's attention was on Jane.
• Jane continued, "As you all know, my father is a very successful businessman, I want to share the secret of his success with you all but request you at the same time, please don't follow his success trick.
• "You know yesterday was my Mum's funeral, she died four days ago, but my Dad suppressed that news and lied to everyone that she is not part of this banquet because she is ill,
• But the fact is that she is not more in this world, she died, you know how she died? She died because of long time illness, her body was not able to take it anymore and she left me alone,
• When Jane said the last line, she had tears in her eyes, and these words again reminded her er Mum is no more with her, but Jane still continued 
• "You know the secret of how my Dad got all the big projects and became a successful businessman, I will tell you today.
• Author’s POV
• Jane looked at her father, and snarled, “he forced and drugged my Mum to sleep with his business partners, and this is the secret of his success.
• When she said this, there was uproar in the hall, people were not able to believe what they heard, and they looked at Anthony Gilbert with hateful eyes.
• Jane continued, “And this…..this is not just it……….now when my Mum is no more, he is using his daughters as her substitute, he sold me to some businessman tonight, he knew that I was not like my Mom to accept everything and I will fight back, so he drugged me.”
• Marco’s was stunned like others, but what irritated him more was her tears, he doesn’t know why but he felt anxious looking at her tearful face, he had never felt like this before, and he did not like this feeling.
• He always wanted to control everything, including his emotions, he was a control freak, and the things going on right now were something he didn’t think, and now he can’t do anything to stop it.
• Jane said, “You know this is not it, this engagement of my sister is also just a big business deal of my Dad, my sister Amelia doesn’t even know the name of the person she is going to get engaged, but they call it love marriage which is total bullshit.”
• “You know for my Dad, every member of the family is just a chess piece; he uses them as per his needs; he never thought about his family’s happiness.”
• For him, what matters is only his success.”
• After saying this, she exhaled a sigh in relief and smiled bitterly, and said, “So everyone I told you all these because I only have one way to escape this cruel world and anyways I can’t make it without my Mum……”
• After completing what she wanted, she kept the mic on the small table next to her and jumped from the balcony.
