- As much as I dislike coming off Elaine's lap, I had to raise my head in annoyance when we arrived at the hospital. And I didn't anticipate Elaine to let me stay on her lap while we drove silently to the hospital, which made me smile discreetly.
- Elaine nudges my body to stir me up, saying, "Hey, wake up, we've arrived at the hospital."
