Chapter 6

• "Because we were worried about you, we immediately looked at the form you sent us and went to the address you entered," Cassidy promised with a smile. "And we didn't know you were really rich."
• "Do you have a lot of food, Danica?" Odette immediately elbowed Eren because of what he said. They all laughed.
• Do I let them in? Well, what if Saint suddenly appeared? Will they know we are in the same house? I turned to the double door of the house and saw Manang Cillia coming out of there.
• "Oh, Hija? You have guests to let in." I immediately approached Manang Cillia and whispered.
• "But Manang, Saint might knowㅡ" she cut me off. "I'll take care of it."
• I immediately smiled. "Thank you, Manang!"
• Manang just smiled at me and let Psalm enter. I could clearly see the sparkle in their eyes when they entered Saint's mansion.
• "Wow, Danica. You're so rich." Rence promised happily. I laughed weakly at what he said.
• "Come on, let's go to the poolside," I said smiling.
• "You have a pool?!" Eren's eyes widened when he asked that. I nodded. "I should have brought swimwear!"
• I just laughed. Having friends is really good and at least I won't get bored because they are here.
• I really hope Saint doesn't get angry.
• Our laughter filled the entire poolside, almost late at night and almost all of them didn't want to go home. Odette even insisted on having a sleepover, but I immediately said that maybe my parents will come home today and they don't know that I have a visitor. It's good that they understood and didn't force them anymore.
• "After you ate dinner, did you go home?" I told them, and they nodded.
• "Are you coming in this Monday?" Psalm asked and I nodded. I really appreciate their care for me. Even though we have only known each other for one week, they are really worried about me.
• Eren smiled mischievously at both of us. "Do you know, Danica, Psalm was excited to come here, he just had to ditch class to come here right away. Right, Rence?" He was teasing.
• "Yes!" And Rence agreed. I bowed and smiled secretly. Does he really care for me like that?
• "Yeeee, you guys." Cassidy was teasing.
• "Oh, Psalm just takes it slow and maybe something will come of it," Eren said after, my face getting even redder.
• Pierce was just quietly listening to us and eating chips. I looked at Psalm who was now holding his neck and laughing softly while shaking his head.
• "Tell us, Danica, ah? If there's progress!" Odette said with a smile as she joined in the teasing.
• "Huh? Well, Psalm doesn't intervene with us." I said shyly.
• "Boom! Friendzone." Stan laughed as he patted Psalm's shoulder.
• "No really Danica? Even a crush?" Crush? Who is my crush? Psalms? Psalm is fun to talk to, I'm also happy when I'm with him. And sometimes I love him.
• But, I'm not sure if I really have a crush on him. Besides, if I say yes, I don't want to depend on Psalm if he has feelings for me.
• "Nothing. My older brother will scold me when I like a boy." I am referring to Saint, I know he will be angry even if I just make friends with a girl or boy.
• "Oh? Really? Your brother is super protective." Cassidy said. I just smiled at him.
• "I'll put away what we ate first," I said, they all gave me thumbs up. I took the tray with the empty glasses.
• I went straight to the kitchen and I almost dropped the tray I was carrying when I saw who was leaning against the refrigerator and staring at me as if he really expected me to come here.
• "S-Saint.." I stammered.
• "Who are they?" He immediately asked, I carefully placed the tray on the sink and faced him. Saint is tall so it's hard to look him in the eye so I bowed down.
• "M-my k-friends..." I didn't like about who they are because I have no escape from Saint if I keep lying to him.
• He tsked. "You have a walk tomorrow with Psalm...and then with your friends today. What else? Is there something you need to tell me that I don't know?"
• It's unusual for me to hear Saint speak a single sentence with no English mixed in. "I didn't know they were coming today...they just suddenly rang the doorbell outside earlier, and it would be a shame if I didn't let them in."
• "Oh, really? So you gave them our address?" He asked while crossing his arms. I immediately shook my head.
• "It's on the form of the club I joined, Odette is our club leader and they were worried about me and why I didn't come in so they went to the address on the form..." I explained. I looked at him and I could clearly see the twinkle in his eye but it disappeared immediately.
• "Don't let them go, Saint..." I said softly. He combed his hair with his fingers and picked up his coat from the kitchen counter.
• "Do what you want, I won't interfere but tomorrow don't forget what I said I won't pick you up, and plus, be home before 7 pm." My smile immediately came out.
• "Yes! Of course." I said smiling. That's the first time I smiled at Saint, it was genuinely not fake.
• "And lastly, don't smile like that in front of me. I don't like it." My smile immediately fell and I felt a small pinch in my heart. Can he just appreciate it?
• Can he be soft just once? I never saw him smile again since his parents died. Even Ate Mary couldn't make him smile and laugh.
• Right, he's a heartless man after all.
• As soon as Saint left, Psalm suddenly entered the kitchen.
• "It took you a while? Someone else is looking for you." He says. "Ah, I'm on my way there," I reply.
• "Let's go?" I nodded and followed him walking but I still didn't want to get rid of what Saint said.
• 'Don't smile like that in front of me, I don't like it.'
• I sighed. Maybe my smile is too annoying for him.
