Chapter 6 An Old Friend

  • DAMIAN
  • He was so not happy that he almost laid all of them off work. He so wanted to find his parent's killers quickly because he had to fulfill his promises. They were ruthless and should not be allowed to exist in the Mafia world because they destroy more than they build.
  • He can't even begin to imagine how many families they must have rendered useless like hers, how many children they must have left homeless and orphaned, all because of their selfish ambition.
  • He still hadn't found out the reason why they killed his parents.
  • Damian paced around the room. He was so pissed at that moment, so much so that he could gun down just anyone who gets on his nerves.
  • "Calm down, boss, I promise we will find them no matter what."
  • Damian gritted his teeth as his eyes darted at his men, who seemed to be trembling with fear.
  • Well, they should be scared because they fully know what he was capable of.
  • "It's okay Drake, this time, I think you should be the one watching them."
  • "I will always watch over them for you." He gave a slight smile to Drake because he had never once disappointed him. Whatever he wanted from him, he delivered without delay.
  • The reason why he didn't use him for the investigations was because he was the one overseeing the goods which they transacted with other countries.
  • At that moment, he needed something to cool off, so he could focus on finding his parent's killers.
  • Damian decided to visit his friend's club in town.
  • Getting to the club with a few of his men, he decided to go to the VVIP section, since it was the safest place to hide. Not that he was hiding from anyone. As a matter of fact, he was way safer in Mexico than in any other country. He chose to be in a secluded environment because he had come to get used to it over the years.
  • Besides, his friend Raymond had his club well-equipped with security, so there was no reason for him to get scared.
  • While in the VVIP lounge, he saw Raymond observing his men who stood at the entrance to the club.
  • This is one thing he liked about him. He can be very playful but always conscious of his environment.
  • Seeing his men, he could tell that he knew that he was around the club. He could see him from the couch which was closest to the transparent glass window facing the lower part of the club.
  • Suddenly, he took his gaze up to where he was seated watching silently, and Raymond smiled upon seeing him. He also smiled back at him. Without wasting time, Raymond began making his way towards him.
  • Damian sat on the white couch, comfortably. The room was extremely nice and chilling because of the air conditioner mounted in the room. He looked around the room, and realized that so much had changed from the last time he visited.
  • Taking the couch, for example, it was blue-coloured, and only two chairs were available. But now, the room contained four chairs, including the couch where he was seated.
  • The opening of the door to the lounge, snapped him out of his thoughts. He took his gaze to the door, where Raymond came into view.
  • "Hey, my friend bienvenidos!" He walked up to him, arms wide open for a hug and a smile on his face.
  • Damian stood up so he could embrace Raymond as well. They both held each other tightly.
  • Raymond was one handsome hunk that he sometimes wondered why he never fell for him when he constantly asked him out.
  • He was tall with broad shoulders, a bit tiny waist, a beautiful face and shoulder-length thick black hair. He can imagine how crazy the ladies in his club would get, if he were to perform as a striper.
  • Well, enough about his handsomeness. It wasn't like he would automatically fall for him now. He liked him as a friend and he really wanted them to remain that way.
  • He liked him too much to accept his proposal. He is too broken and he can't afford to let a nice man like Raymond get destroyed like he was now.
  • He deserved a nice guy who would love him and be with him at all times.
  • Whereas, he, on the other hand, never dreamt about having a family. He could not when his parent's killers were still out there carrying out their evil acts.
  • "So tell me, Dame, what are you doing here in Mexico? I remember the last time we spoke. Has it been three years now?"
  • Damian nodded in agreement.
  • "Exactly, you said you wouldn't be coming back unless you had something important to do."
  • "Well... Yea, I came for a friend's wedding." He lied through his teeth.
  • The truth was that he actually met Raymond back when he registered for a part-time college. He couldn't afford to go full time because he needed time to train for his revenge and also how to take over his father's business.
  • Raymond was in his class back then, and he was the only one who persevered in trying to make friends with him. Back then, he hated making friends because he hated everything around him, including his own life.
  • He remembered how he almost took his own life once. It was luck for him when Eddy came into the room when he almost put a hole through his head with his pistol.
  • So, while attending part-time college, he noticed the boys and girls in his class all wanted to make friends with him but he just wouldn't talk to them. Some gay boys tried asking him out, but he scared them by threatening to put a bullet through their heads.
  • For this reason, they called him the weird masked foreigner, since he wasn't Mexican and always in a mask. It was during those times Raymond came to him. He also threatened him with a bullet to his head, but he wasn't the least scared.
  • Whatever he did to scare him off only made him get closer to him.
  • Most times when he got to class, he always used different cars, which made his classmates believe that she was from a rich home. He didn't refute their statement because he was originally from a rich home before tragedy struck.
  • Damian kept his real identity from Raymond and, like the others, he also believed he was from a rich home and never asked him anything, even though he saw that most of the men were fully harmed and he was constantly in a mask.
  • The reason why he was always in a mask was because he didn't want to be recognized by his enemies. He was the exact replica of his father. Showing his face to the world might put him in danger sooner than he expected.
  • After having a good time in Mexico but finding no clue about his parents' murderers, Damian decides to go back to his stripper club in America to have a good time.
