Chapter 5 The Reason For Revenge

  • DAMIAN
  • He saw his parents, calling out to him. They were in a pool of blood and Damian was trying to save them, but he couldn't, his legs wouldn't move. He was stuck in one spot watching his parents die slowly.
  • "Dad!!!"
  • "Mom!!!"
  • Slowly, they closed their eyes and embraced the cruelty of death. Damian screamed with so much pain. It hurt so badly, his parents were dead, which meant he would be left all alone in the whole wide world.
  • How was he going to live now, knowing his parents were killed by a strange enemy he knew nothing about?
  • Deep in tears, Damian woke up in a jolt, only to find himself in his private jet, going to Mexico.
  • He sat up straight, something warm seemed to be coming in from the corners of his eyes.
  • Immediately, he used his fingers to take out whatever was there, only to find tears at the corner of his eyes.
  • He quickly reached for the little white bandana which he had and dabbed the tears off his eyes.
  • After dabbing, he put the bandana back in his pocket, his mask on the table, so he could put it back on, once he landed. It hasn't been easy for him all those years. It has been seven years ever since his parents passed away. The pain was still very fresh in his memories and he still dreamt about that day, almost every day of his life.
  • He wished he could live a normal life, but that could never happen, not until he finds those responsible for his parent's death and sends them to the other world to join his parents.
  • That had been his plan for the past seven years now. But the sneaky son of a bitch had his tail and tracks well hidden, so that Damian still found it hard to locate him.
  • He took a quick look at the time. It was 12:30pm. He heaved a long sigh, knowing he would be arriving in Mexico pretty soon. Damian shut his eyes and sucked in a deep breath.
  • When he opened his eyes, his gaze darted to the red and white roses at the other end of the table. He decided to have his parents' bodies cremated and kept at a columbarium in Mexico because he didn't want anyone of his father's business associates locating his parents' grave or locating him as well.
  • He wanted the enemy to keep feeling at ease that he had destroyed Scott's family, so he could have enough time to take him unaware too.
  • Eddy had been the one taking care of the business with him, ever since his parents died. Anton unfortunately died during the battle as he was trying to protect the workers in the house. His nanny also died during the shoot-out. He lost totally everything that he so loved and cherished.
  • Fortunately, his father not only had a house in America, but also in Mexico too. That was how she lived in Mexico, with the help of Eddy, who had been leading him along every step of the way.
  • An hour later, he landed in Mexico. Taking his mask from the table, he wore it and carried the flowers from the other end of the table, before he descended down the jet with his men who he went with.
  • His men who were stationed here in Mexico all stood in their position beside their cars which they came with in other to accompany and protect him wherever he went.
  • They all wore black suits and ties, accompanied by dark shades. This was how he wanted them to dress. Just like his father's men dressed whenever they went on a mission.
  • "Welcome boss!" Drake greeted him, who was standing beside his blue Range rover.
  • "Welcome boss!" The others greeted him in unison the moment he got in front of his car. He raised his hands up in the air, a gesture of answering to their greetings.
  • Drake immediately opened the door to his car, so he could go in, while Drake took over the driver's seat and immediately pulled out of the airport.
  • He didn't have to give directions to him, for he already knew the way he was headed by just seeing the flowers in her hands.
  • Within an hour, they arrived at the columbarium, where his parents' ashes were kept.
  • Drake went over to his door and opened it so he could get down.
  • He walked swiftly to the entrance of the building. When he finally got to the room where his parents' cremations were placed in, he teared up. He slowly knelt in front of their pictures, and placed the flowers beside their urns.
  • Damian cried some more, wishing they were still alive. Maybe if they were, he wouldn't have become so cold-blooded.
  • Just maybe, he would have pursued the freedom of the world and found love. All his dreams about the world were shattered in a thousand pieces the moment his parents died.
  • Living in Mexico with Eddy, he trained harder than the newly recruited men who served under him. Since his eighteenth birthday became a bloodbath, he had made it that way until now.
  • He killed those who broke the law or were suspected of betraying him. Betrayers are the people he hated the most.
  • He did not forgive those kinds of people like that, because those are the kinds who betray their master to the enemy.
  • From the information he gathered about the killers of his parents, they seemed to be his father's business partners. What he couldn't find out now, was the reason they had to kill his parents.
  • "Mom, Dad, I haven't forgotten my promise to you, I will find those responsible for your deaths and make them pay for what they did to you."
  • Damian left the mausoleum to inquire about how the investigations about his parents' killers were coming along. He decided not to do anything in America because he knew they were after him.
  • It was a miracle that they'd stopped investigating him in the meantime. Well, he was also smart, so getting him wouldn't be that easy for them. He's been getting away from their claws for five years now because he fully started working in his father's business when he was twenty years old. That was also the time he got his first kill.
  • Well, it wasn't his fault he died. He was a fucking betrayer. He still can't tell how he came about knowing each of his men so deep that he could tell who was betraying him and who wasn't. Maybe that was because his sense of safety heightened after his parents' death.
  • He just did not want to be caught off guard like his parents did.
