Chapter 22 The Fight

  • FREDDIE
  • "Why did you take so long going into every room in the mansion? I thought that was for some other day? "I didn't go in search for things. I just got lost," he lied. "What?!" Freddie heaved a long sigh. Nick could be so dumb sometimes. "I can't believe you got lost in a mansion you go into all the time." " You saw for yourself how huge the mansion looked, who wouldn't get lost?'" "Well, I don't know about that. Good thing we are out anyway." Freddie heaved a long sigh of relief at the thought that he had gotten away with his lie. "I had thought you guys were lustful and were having something hot with the boss." Freddie we t wide in shock. He could not believe what his partner had just said. "What the fuck are you talking about, Nick? Why would you think about something so perverted?" "I guess a man's head could be petveted at times," Nick said with a grin. Freddie stared at his partner, perplexed. "Well, you are right this time." "What do you mean this time? Did you really do anything with the guy?" Freddie made a sarcastic face and rolled his eyes to the back of his head. "Oh, so now you are being sarcastic."
  • The week quickly went by and it was already the last day Freddie was to stay home. He didn't do much with Nick, apart from analyzing the little information they'd got from investigations they made about Damian. "Hey man, why don't we visit the club?" Nick asked, in excitement. "Hell no, I'm not going down there," Freddie replied, looking uninterested. "Why? You are the man of the club, Maxi!" Nick mimicked the speaker whenever he was being called on stage. Nick began twisting his thin waist in a stripper dance. Freddie rubbed his eyes with his hands after seeing what Nick was doing. "Am I getting it right, huh, Maxi? This is how you do it in the club, right?" "Stop it, Nick, I don't dance like that!" Nick was doing everything wrongly. He would never twist the way Nick was twisting. He looked like a pole twisting in the spot it stood. "Stop, stop!" Nick immediately paused. "So, are you coming to the club?" Nick asked, breathing heavily. Freddie rolled his eyes, and got up from the couch to get prepared. He paused and stared back at Nick. "I think you need to visit the gym at least four times a week." "What? Four times a week?" Freddie chuckled before walking away. No wonder Damian thought Nick was indeed his brother. He was too lean and without muscles to be seen as a threat to anyone.
