Chapter 13

• Ryan barely missed the pillow by a step. The thing flew past him and hit a glass shelf behind him. The two of them cringed when the glass cups on the shelf made a loud sound.
• "What was that?" A woman asked quietly as she walked in slowly, holding a tray. Her oval-shaped face lit up with a smile when she saw Ryan.
• Ryan immediately pointed at Sam and accused Jim, "Your husband is responsible for this. He almost murdered me with the pillow but I saved myself just in time."
