Chapter 13

  • ***
  • Lorenzo's POV:
  • I wore my black coat and fixed my hair in front of the glass that particularly windy Monday night in Miami.
  • I then wore my boots and went to my drawer which I pulled and took out two guns. I put one in the waistband of my jeans and another in my coat's pocket. I wasn't in my mood at all that evening and so René was going to be an unlucky man.
  • ~
  • I finished getting ready and went to Alejandro's room. I found him fixing himself in front of the mirror.
  • "Ready?" I asked.
  • "Yeah." he turned and grabbed his guns which he tucked away as well, "Let's go."
  • We left his room together and I grabbed the car keys in the living room.
  • "We're leaving." I told Lea and Dino who were watching TV.
  • "He didn't pay the money, huh?" she mused.
  • "Nope. He's probably gonna pay with his life for making fools out of our family." Alejandro replied.
  • "I'll see to it, personally." I added and went over to kiss Lea's forehead, "See you guys later."
  • "Oki."
  • "Bye bye."
  • And with that, Al and I left the apartment.
  • ~
  • We got to the the building's underground parking and met four of our men already waiting for us. They greeted us and we replied.
  • "Get in your car and follow us." I told them and they did as told.
  • I unlocked my car and Al and I got in. I immediately started it and turned on the GPS device that tracked down where exactly René was. We'd put a spyware device in his phones and on one of the wheels of his personal car some time before that particular day because we knew perfectly well that he would surely not want to pay us back our money. Well, he messed with the wrong people.
  • Recently I'd been quite moody and a little disturbed from time to time because of that stupid magazine I'd decided to open. Seeing that person's picture had left me in a terrible mood and what I hated about it all was that even though during the day I didn't even think of it or avoided to do so, at night while I slept it would resurface in my dreams in one way or the other. It'd happened twice so far and it pissed me off to the fullest because I didn't even think of it but it still came back to haunt me.
  • Well, that night, I was finally going to let it all out on an unfortunate René Göttingen. That beef was known for being ruthless with the people that owed him. He was never patient with them yet he expected others to be with him? The price to pay for taking my uncle's and father's patience for granted was going to be a bloody one.
  • "A whole damn year." I said, shaking my head.
  • "I know right. Dad and uncle Lee were too patient with him."
  • "He'll see."

  • Noemi's POV:
  • He sat there in sweat shorts and a T-shirt and I just admired him. He had his eyes focused on the TV screen and and didn't even notice I was checking him out.
  • His shorts had gotten higher up his legs till they looked really short and I did nothing but admire his firm thighs. Dino was fine, alright.
  • 'How could that Louisa chick let him travel? If he was my man, boy I would stick to his side wherever he goes.
  • He's not even mine and I already want to stick with him. Reason why I insisted that he come with us to Miami.'
  • I continued to stare at him from time to time. I would watch the movie, yes, but Dino as well. At a point, he caught me staring and I smiled.
  • "You look like a whole snack." I said shamelessly and his lips twitched to the side in amusement.
  • "Oh my gawd, Noemi." he chuckled and raised a cushion to his face.
  • "What?" I giggled and he looked at me.
  • "You have me red every single time with your awkward compliments. You tell me everything that crosses your mind."
  • "They're not awkward. They're facts." I smirked at him and he stared at me, that little smile of his I found so sexy, on his lips.
  • "How would you feel if I told you every single thing that crossed my mind?" he asked.
  • "Good. Tell me what's crossing your mind right now." I adjusted and my already short dress went higher up my thighs and he noticed it.
  • Dino could be the type to be respectful and keep things to himself, but his eyes and that look in them could make you read his mind.
  • I watched him stare at my legs and thighs and it actually made me smile knowingly. I loved the way he looked at me because when he did so, he did so shamelessly. I didn't need words to understand what was going through his mind.
  • I waited for when his eyes finally met mine again.
  • "You're not gonna tell me?" I teased.
  • "I think it's better I keep it to myself." he replied slowly.
  • "Why?"
  • "It's inappropriate."
  • I smiled, amused.

  • Lorenzo's POV:
  • We pulled up in front of the hotel he was at at that exact moment. He was probably having some meeting with someone but we cared the less.
  • ~
  • Al and entered the big hotel and took different paths, making our way through the lobby without speaking to anyone or stopping. We were dressed same and decided not to be seen together as it would draw attention. Whoever noticed any of us, which I doubted anyone would, would think we were one person and there was no way that there could be a second person. We had nothing to worry about given that one of our men had successfully hacked into the hotel's camera system and had replaced the LIVE observation with already recorded videos of the hotel.
  • ~
  • Al and I took separate elevators while our men had gone ahead and were rushing up the stairs.
  • The images of the surveillance cameras in the elevators, corridors and hallways as well had been covered and replaced by prerecorded videos.
  • ~
  • I got to the floor where René was and I stepped out of the elevator, Al did same out of his.
  • We met and just then, our men appeared. We led the way and walked towards the door where René was. There were two of his men guarding the door and when they saw us approach and noticed our appearance and expressions, they knew what was up and immediately reached for their firearms.
  • They were too slow for us as Al had shot them down at once in the most silent manner. The heads of our guns were carefully covered with silencers that we'd made ourselves and that were perfectly soundproof.
  • "Clean the mess." I told three of the men who had to get rid of the bodies before anyone passed by. They immediately did as told and started to wrap the men in trash bags that they'd brought along. Two had even brought laundry chariots with them to put the bodies in and push away.
  • ~
  • Taking our guns out, I kicked the door open and Al and I stormed in to find the shocked pig with a VIP escort in bed. One of our men joined us.
  • The girl was going to scream and I immediately raised my finger.
  • "Don't you dare. Shut the fuck up." I hissed and she nodded, afraid and covering her mouth as she tried not to cry.
  • "Now get your stuff and leave before I decided to kill you, too." I told her and she immediately got off the bed, grabbing her purse and shoes. She was still dressed as she and René had not began any business yet.
  • She tried to rush past us but Al grabbed her arm and made her face us.
  • "You never saw this. Nothing ever even happened. Do you understand?" he asked lowly.
  • "Y– yes." she stammered in fear.
  • "Leave this hotel like you came." he told her and she nodded uncontrollably.
  • "Our guard here is going to accompany you all the way out, so you don't try anything stupid." I added, "And if you do, even once you're out of this place, you'll be dead meat."
  • "Have we made ourselves clear?" Alejandro asked.
  • "Y– yes! Please let me go. I won't say anything, I swear!"
  • "You better. Disappear." Al said and our guard came and led her out of the room.
  • I made sure to lock the door.
  • A terrified René sat up with raised hands in surrender.
  • "Who– who are you?? What do you want from me?"
  • "Our money, bitch." Alejandro retorted with a frown.
  • I grabbed a chair close by and straddled it, watching René intensively until he flinched.
  • "Who are you?? I owe you nothing."
  • "Wrong." my jaw clenched, "You owe us two million dollars."
  • "How??" he was confused, "I don't even know who the two of you are!"
  • "Does Enrique sound familiar to you?"
  • He froze and his fear intensified in one look.
  • "You– are... Anthonio's sons?" he stammered with difficulty.
  • "Bingo." Alejandro laughed.
  • "I'll pay you back! I swear! I– I can make you a transaction here and right now!"
  • "Oh wow." I looked at Alejandro who chuckled, "So we had to pull up with guns for the bastard to finally decide to pay us back, huh?"
  • "Please, let me do it right now!"
  • Alejandro picked his phone close by and gave it to him. He went to stand by the fool and watched him transfer two million to our account. My phone biped and I checked the confirmed transaction.
  • "One more million for the year you made us waste." I said, standing and going to him as well.
  • "W– what? I can't d–"
  • He froze when my gun clicked and I pressed it against his sweaty temple.
  • "Okay! Okay! Please!"
  • "Make it two mill." I added and Al laughed.
  • "No! One more and that's it!" he frowned and dared to raise his voice?
  • I raised my gun and hit him hard across the face. He groaned in pain and his nose immediately started to bleed as well as his forehead.
  • "Two more millions or I blow your skull." I stated rather calmly and meaning every single word.
  • Still squirming in pain, we watched him transfer more money.
  • "It's done! Spare me! It's still Monday right?? The deadline's not been crossed. Spare me, please." he begged and I looked at Al.
  • "He's right." he said.
  • "True." I nodded and looked at René, "Lie on your tummy and bury your face in your pillow."
  • "W– why??"
  • "Do as I say or I'll change my mind. Remain like that until we leave the room."
  • Shaking and doubtful, he slowly did as told. Once he had his face in the pillow, I raised my gun and shot him at the back of the head. The pillow was immediately soaked in his blood.
  • "Dumbass." I muttered and Alejandro laughed out.
  • "He thought." he mused.
  • "I know right. Let's get out of here."
  • And with that, we left that room leaving no finger prints or traces of our little visit. And there was no way the bullets we shot would be traced as right after, we would get rid of the guns permanently like it'd always been done in the family.
  • ~
  • By the time we stepped out, our men had gotten rid of the bodies and all traces of apparent murder.
  • ~
  • We all left that hotel the same way we came. No one seeing any of us together. René had been dealt with and this for sure was going to go round the mafioso world and they would know about who we were.
