Chapter 21 HEY SATANA, LETS END THIS
- It was just another ordinary morning for Aires, as she woke up to get ready for school. Even though through her window she saw that the clouds were a bit frowned, she attributed it to a possible November rainfall. She had just finished her breakfast and was getting ready for school when she heard the news that would change her life forever. A part of her town had been burnt down by a devastating fire, leaving many families homeless and in despair.
- Aires couldn't believe what she head. "Could this be what Perry meant?" She asked herself. At the time of their conversation, even though she got a little scared when she heard her say "fireworks", eventually she brushed it off as an empty threat, but now she realized that her words had been a warning. She felt a knot form in her stomach as she thought of her friends and the families who lived in the affected area. She quickly scooped up her phone and dialed Elena's Vanessa's number, among her friends Vanessa was the only one who lived a little closer to the affected areas. As if she knew someone was going to call, Vanessa did not allow the phone to ring for even a second when she answered. She informed Aires that she and her family were okay, fortunately, the fire fighters started a fire break a couple of blocks away to prevent the fire from spreading to her side of town, so they were perfectly safe. Aires then switched to a conference call, including Jason and Elena, she then informed them to meet her at school to plan a way to help.the affected families.
- As she walked to school, Aires saw the destruction first hand. The once-beautiful homes and businesses were now nothing more than charred ruins. The smell of smoke still hanged heavy in the air, and the sounds of sirens and crying echoed through the streets. Aires felt a mix of emotions- anger, sadness, and fear. She couldn't understand why anyone would want to cause such destruction and devastation, but again, she wasn't dealing with just anyone, but an army born to destroy.
