• Toya handed me a tablet, saying, "Use this to take notes." I do, then she explains, "So... why's the Pack so big? Our Pack didn't use to be this large. It was small, just like many other Packs. With its members being between a few hundred to a few thousand wolves. My family's Pack, the Marshall Pack. Literally only consisted of generations of our family and mates." Oh, "You weren't born in this Pack?" She shook her head. "No, this is Dee's family's Pack. I've been here for the last seven and a half years. Once I returned from Germany and discovered that Dee was my Mate." Whoa! "You lived in Germany? Wow, I bet that was exciting!" She grins, rubbing her belly. "Yeah, my older twin brother, Latrell, and I, moved there in our teens. For our Leadership training." But, "Why Germany though?" That seems like an unusual location.
• "That's where my family originally came from. But about 500 years ago, we migrated here to Wisconsin and settled in the Milwaukee area." I sat there quietly, amazed by her family's journey. "We were one of, if not the last Pack in Wisconsin, that wasn't a part of Cedar Falls. But we joined our Packs together once we found out we were Mated. So anyway, Cedar Falls started a warrior training program. About 100 years ago or so. They would send their warriors out to much smaller Packs that were having various problems with Rogues or other species. In an effort to assist them with their individual issues." Oh wow, "That's a great program!" She gives a proud smile. "I know, right? But everyone still has a Rogue problem."
