Chapter 5

• She couldn't figure out who she could trust fully. She decided to go with allies whose pups were mated. That way her father wouldn't try to link her with any of them. That was her way of escaping the whole mate saga.
• But then wouldn't it fall back on her? If her father knew that was what she was doing he might probably take back his decision on her writing the guest list. But then she had to, she had a strong feeling destiny indeed had a different path for her.
• She kept feeling either she wasn't to have a mate or her mate would be human.
• But then a thought suddenly popped into her mind, 'are there other species of humans? like vampires?. But she shrugged it off as an absurd thought. If there were she would know about it. Her father would definitely know and he tells her everything. So she doubted it.
• "I really have to collate this list. I have only a little time before dad would want the list. He might decided to give me a little time so he can go back to choosing it. I shouldn't allow that.
• I wonder if Alpha Kaden son is married. I would definitely invite all females but only mated males and maybe a few unmated. Then I would give him the list a day to my birthday." Then she realized it was a foolish thought because her dad could easily call them and they would definitely answer.
• She had to convince her dad on her feelings. She understood she was the heir and hence needed to find a mate quickly.
• Any pack would be pleased to join packs with the Blue moon pack due to their strong abilities. If a connection could be faked , many packs would have probably done it.
• This was a main reason she had to be careful even in selecting their allies.
• She decided to include her best female friend Ariana. Her best friend is the daughter of the Purple Earth pack. They were known as the second most powerful pack. Her friend is very strong. She is known to be able to take on 10 men at once, that is very impressive.
• Ariana had shiny long black curly hair. She's very endowed in all the right places. She inherited her grandmother's genes . She was very curvy but slim. Many men wowed over her and lusted after her but she didn't pay attention to any of them and rather waited for her mate. She was also eighteen and hadn't found her mate. She decided to wait patiently rather than just jumping to any man. The good part was her father was very supportive. Ariana's father is also her father childhood friend. So he definitely had to be there.
• He's more like family. His mate was late though. She died during a raid by hunters . Ever since they all spared no mercy to hunters. Ariana's mother was loved by everyone and so her death caused a lot of pain.
• Her second best friend, a male named Robert is the most caring , loving, very very handsome man she had ever seen . Deep down she didn't really mind if he was her mate because he was also unmated.
• They were known as the three unmated best friends. It's very funny but they didn't lie after all. They were indeed without mates. Robert's father was already very old and was planning to leave the alpha title to his son. Robert's father met his mate in his fifties. And then came Robert, they were very happy. But that's all in the past now. She was definitely going to invite Robert.
• He was the only one she had eyes on. But she didn't say anything because she didn't want a situation where they would meet different mates and things would be awkward between them.
• The power of the bond was very strong after all. Robert's father was indeed very old but he was able to maintain the position of the third most powerful pack. It is said after all the friends you make now is your connection tomorrow. Besides she had always been close with Ariana and Robert ever since she was little. They literally grew up together. So it was more like their parents made the connection. It was good though, she had powerful friends and trustworthy ones .
• She decided to add a few other packs who her father trusted . A few she was friends with . When she was done with her list, she had eighteen packs of mated males, sixteen female heirs , eight allies who weren't so close and eight who they were getting close to. In total she had fifty packs.
• This was a good list to give her father. She really hoped he agreed with the list. She decided to take a break and pay a visit to her friend Ariana. She texted Ariana to see if she was home.
• "Hey babe, are you home"
• "Yes b, I'm home. Thinking of going to the garden for a run. What are you up to? ".
• " Oh that's great , should I come join you then , I'm kinda bored at home".
• " That's a first, the great Andra Blythe is bored, are you sure everything's okay? Boredness is never part of your dictionary".
• " I'm just so stressed with the party planning, funny enough I'm not really doing much. Part planners are really working no doubt. Need a big break from all these".
• " Then come over darling, we can go for a run together. What do you think? "
• " That's a perfect idea, I'm on my way."
• After thirty minutes Andra arrived at her friend's pack. It took so long because their packs were divided by borders and the Blue moon pack was so big. She made her arrival at the border and she was allowed to enter. Each pack had this safety precaution. This was to prevent strangers, attackers and most importantly hunters from sneaking into the pack and attacking them.
• The Purple moon pack had six borders which could not be entered without permission due to the intense security.
• Ariana came to meet Andra halfway at the garden. They had planned to meet at the garden and have lunch later.
• "Welcome to my humble abode darling" Ariana said with a bright smile on her face.
• "You're very funny , you seem to have forgotten I've been here practically my whole life".
• " Yes, but still I have to welcome you everytime. It's called courtesy darling " Andra burst out laughing looking at her friend with an amused look.
• " What, I'm very serious, courtesy is very important"
• "Are you seeing or expecting someone? I feel like you're using me to practice instead."
• " Well.... " Ariana looked around to ensure no one was hearing them. She knew they had sharp hearing so she held her breathing for some seconds to listen well. When she was sure no one was listening, she continued.
• " Well, I might be seeing someone and no he is not my mate , but he is damn gorgeous."
• " Ariana that's pretty dangerous, what if you see your mate soon?"
• " Which is why I'm planning on having a six months relationship with him" Ariana said confidently.
• " But still , what if you fall in love ? What if by then, he finds a mate and leaves you hanging? This is wrong and dangerous I so many ways , I don't approve Ariana. Think about your mental health also."
• " I know, which is why I would be going for a human. Preferably a younger human, so I would be the one taking care of him and he would be spoiling me with love. That way I wouldn't get to attached or anything like that."
• " How would your father feel if he knew you were wanting his money on this crazy experiment of love?, I doubt he would be happy"
• " You're not going to tell him right? You can't tell your dad also , he would definitely tell my dad. Please" Ariana begged her with puppy eyes.
• " You're probably still going to do what you want to but I don't like this. This would also break the poor boy's heart. You might even be his first love and then he would be broken for life."
• " Should I change to an elderly man then or a middle aged one?" Ariana thought out loud with her finger resting on her chin.
• "You're not getting the point Ariana, what I'm trying to say is , this isn't a really good idea. What if the person is dangerous and you don't even know?" Ariana sighed then and said," I knew you weren't going to accept, common let's go for a run".
• " That's better" Andra smiled and they started walking behind a bush.
• " I still want to try it out though, I mean how would I know if my mate is treating me well? How would I know if it's true love I'm experiencing when I haven't even experienced love before? I would rethink it but I really really want to try it."
• " I know you might probably do your mind , you're just so stubborn. Just don't do it and regret it later on. And also make a full research on whoever you want to use".
• " I thought you didn't approve?"
• " We both know you would still do your mind, I prefer knowing about it though. That way I can foresee the dangers and draw you out before it's to late".
• " You know me to well" Ariana said and burst into laughter." Now can we have our run, my wolf is crawling my skin right now " Andra said smilingly.
• " Definitely, we definitely can". They undressed behind the bush and went for a long run , competing who would win a race.
