Chapter 2 The Elevator

• Anika took her dress and went straight to the cashier to pay for it. "Is this all you will be buying human.... Sorry ma'am?" the cashier said weirdly. "What?... Yes I will be taking just that" Anika answered her, but wondered why she called her 'human'. "That will be just $350.99" the cashier said, then Anika hand over her debit card to her.
• "Bling bling!" The payment machine ringed twice as the cashier tries to use it. "It isn't working ma'am." The cashier said. "Wait I have another one, here is it" Anika hands her second card to the cashier. "Bling bling!" The machine makes thesame noise as the cashier tries to use it again. "What! That's didn't work too?" Anika asks in frustration. "It seems that your card have expired ma'am and you need to go and renew it" the cashier enlighten Anika. "Okay! Let me transfer the money with my phone" she said, and then on her phone.
• "Don't worry I will pay for it" a man's voice filled the room. "Wait isn't that the guy....?" Anika said and immediately turned back to see Carlos standing behind her. "I will pay for the dress" Carlos said again as he smile at Anika. "Don't worry sir, I have the money and I will pay using wireless transfer!" Anika softly said as she trys to suppress her anger. "Here you go, I have transferred the money" Anika said to the cashier as she showed her evidence. "Okay! Here's your dress" the Cashier said and hands over the dress to her. "Thank you for the help, but it wasn't necessary" Anika said to carlos and walk out of the store, looking really angry. "I will have you soon!" Carlos said in his mind as he watch Anika storm out of the store.
• BACK IN HER APARTMENT......
• Anika got to her apartment feeling really tired and angry. She was angry that Carlos wanted to help her with money, as if she couldn't pay for her own needs. "What a jerk!" She said and lay down on her bed. "...What a weird day too." Anika added as she remembered the moment she touch Carlos cold hand. "Why was the colour of that guy's eyes red too?" Anika ask herself, as she opens her laptop to research about Carlos condition.
• "WHAT! He's a vampire?" Anika screamed in disbelief as she stroll through the internet. "This gat to be bullshit. Vampire don't walk in day time because of the sun, so how is he a vampire?" Anika talked to herself as she continued strolling through the internet.
• She then saw a blog and learned that Vampires are belief to have lived among human thousands of years ago, but they only show themselves at night. There greatest weakness are woods, garlic, and sunlight.
• "So, if this guy has the body of a vampire, but moves at day time, does that mean he is still a vampire? Or is he an half breed?" Anika questioned herself about Vampires and mystical creatures still she eventually fell asleep in her bed.
• NEXT DAY........
• "Buzz buzz buzz" Anika's phone vibrate and then she wake up, reaches out to it and turned it off. "Sighed!! It's the day." Anika who was very nervous about her job interview today said. "Well, time to get ready" she said again and went straight to her bathroom to take her bath.
• After bathing Anika eat her light breakfast, wore the dress she brought and went out of her apartment. She eventually arrived in the company she had the job interview and "Redmoon wine distributing company" was placed at the top entrance of the huge company building.
• "Good luck Anika" Anika boldly said to herself and then head straight into the company. "Hello, please I am here for the job interview." Anika said to the female receptionist. "Oh, okay! Go to the employment office at the sixth fall." The receptionist softly said to Anika and she then head straight to the elevator, press the opened button and entered into it.
• Anika entered into the elevator, and as the doors of the elevator was about to close completely.
• A man's hand suddenly came in between the doors, and it opened back.
• "YOU. GAT. TO. BE. KIDDING. ME!" Anika said to herself as she sights Carlos entering into the elevator. "What a small world it is" Carlos said as he notice the office file on Anika hand while entering into the elevator elevator.
• "You are here to apply for a job?" Carlos asked Anika nicely. "Yes you creep, now leave me alone" Anika replied rudely. "You don't have be rude about it" Carlos said and suddenly walk towards her.
• Anika who saw carlos walking towards her and was also afraid of him, quickly move backward still her back touches the walls of the elevator.
• "Are you afraid of me?" Carlos ask Anika and then place one of his hand at the wall Anika back was leaning to. "Don't... don't do anything." Anika struggles to talk while bending down her face .
• Carlos lifted her face up with his other hand and stared deep into her eyes.
• "Don't....don't do anything to me you weirdos" Anika said while also staring at his eyes. She could clearly see Carlos red eyes even though he was wearing dark shades.
• "You have something on your hair" Carlos tells Anika as he stopped looking at her eyes and removed the white thread on top of her hair. "Why... Why is your hands always cold" Anika struggles to ask. "Well.. ." Carlos said as he turned his face towards Anika's and tried to kiss her. But the elevator door opened and his charm was cut short.
• At the entrance of the door was an employee of the company who was shocked to see Carlos and Anika very close to each other. Anika on seeing the elevator wide open rushes out of the elevator immediately leaving Carlos, who smiled mischievously as she make her way out. "What's that guy's problem" Anika ask herself and catch her breath a little.
• "Creep!" She shouted, and then walked into the employment office.
• "Good morning ma'am" Anika greeted the female attendee she saw and then sit down to take the interview.....so after some few hours, Anika came out of the room looking really sad. Turn out, to get the job she wanted, she needs to have a United States green card, but because he moved from France to America recently, she didn't have the card, so she couldn't get the job.
• Anika walked outside the office with disappointed face. She then use the stairs of the company so that he wouldn't run in to Carlos again. She eventually came out of the company and with disappointed in her eyes, looked back at the building one last time before she left.
• On knowingly to her, Carlos was at his office staring at her from the top floor.
• "Here's the documents you wanted sir." Carlos personal assistant said as she storm into his office to drop some files in his deck. "Did that girl got the job?" Carlos asked his personal assistant. "Who?" She ask and walk to the window to look at who he was taking about.
• "That one?...She definitely didn't get the job" Carlo's assistant said with an happy smile on her face. "Call her and give her the job she wanted" Carlos demanded. "She applied for a accountant or a receptionist job, but the accounting department is still full, and the receptionist is working fine" Carlo's assistant enlighten him. "Then you are fired!" Carlos boldly said to his personal assistant with goodbye smile in his face.
• "Wait! What? You are really firing me because of that human?" Carlos assistant shouted with an angry tone. "Don't get so worked up! You will transform in my office and you don't want that" Carlos replied her and then sit on his chair. "Fine! But I am going to tell DON about this" Carlos assistant said with confident.
• On hearing this, Carlos moved very fast from his chair, and grab his assistant on her neck. "You really think I am afraid of your Wolf king?" Carlos asked his assistant as she struggles to breathe. "N...no" she managed to say a word and he let her go.
• Carlos assistant falls on the ground and cough out due to lack of air,
• "When you are done, leave!" Carlos said and move with speed back into his chair. "Yes... Sir" he's assistant struggles to speak and walk out of his office.
• IN ANIKA'S APARTMENT.......
• Anika eventually got home that evening feeling really disappointed that she didn't get the job. "Damn it, what am I going to do now?" She said to herself and sit down in one vintage chair in her bedroom. "What now. ...?" She said to herself and then her phone suddenly started ranging. "Is it Lily?" Anika asked herself and pickup the call without looking at the phone number.
• "Hello, we have considered your resume and we will like you to start working in our company tomorrow" A woman voice spoke out the phone. "Wait! What?!" Anika screams back to the person on the phone and apologized almost immediately for doing that.
• "So ma'am what position was I given?" Anika asked. "Tomorrow you will find out about that" she said and hang up the phone. "Huh?! Hello?" Anika tries to confirm if the caller was still there or she really did hang up. "Well, I got a job and that's what matters" she excitedly said to herself and lay down on her bed.
• Anika who notice that her window was still open stand up to close it. "Is that a person at there?" Anika ask herself as she sees a person like figure in the shadow of opposite building staring at her room. "Why are they so much weirdo in this part of America?" Anika ask herself as she reaches out to her study table close to the window to get a flashlight. She got the flashlight and wanted to point it at the shadow figure, but realize it wasn't there anymore. "That's pretty scaring" Anika said and closed her window.
