• Colleen could not figure out why she was able to hear what was on Drake’s mind. ‘Is he my mate?’ That question came into her mind but it was an impossibility as Patrick was already her mate. Besides, Cale was quiet inside of her unlike when they first encountered Patrick. Back then, Cale was too excited and guided her with eagerness to see their mate. Cale was very happy that time which was the opposite of what she was feeling then. In reality, she was disappointed back then when she learned that her mate was a human.
• But now Drake was there, standing in front of her in a vampire form. She was in confusion as she could either read his mind or hear what he was secretly saying in his mind. Her forehead knitted as she looked at him closer. Reading minds was not a werewolf's capability not a vampire’s unless there was a mind link which only occurs if you were a werewolf and they were from the both packs.
