• Colleen could see the sadness in Drake's eyes and she knew Drake took what she said, which was true, seriously and she understood why he would feel like that as if she was in the same situation she would feel the agony of being lied to as well. Drake needs to know his true identity before his birthday because she has a feeling something bad is going to happen to Drake soon that she is unaware of.She could sense it, but she could not predict what it could be.
• Earlier, those vampires had arrived in order to assassinate Drake. She could say Drake was fortunate that they were present when those vampires came or else they would have succeeded in killing him. Any second too late and they would have lost Drake, mortal enemy or not, Drake was their friend and friendships were not defined by race, nationality, or species.
