Chapter 2 Red And Miguel

  • BEFORE THE ACCIDENT
  • RED a.k.a Angel of Death was the most dangerous woman in Spain, she resided in Seville, where she was born and was bonded to the Escorpion a.k.a Gun and Bullets' family. She is heartless and dangerous, she shows no mercy. The only languages she understands are kill and blood. Other mafia families have tried to buy her away, but she was very loyal to the Escorpion family, not only because it was the most formidable group, but because she was entangled in a love web with the leader of the family, the youngest mafia don in the country, the formidable Miguel Dominguez.
  • Miguel grew up in a hostile environment where war between rival families was brutal and one had to be alert always. His father was the don of the then second most feared mafia family and Miguel was raised to be a leader and a ruthless mafia. He was just eighteen years old when a rival family, Dragon, the then fiercest mafia family killed his father. When he was twenty-one years old, he avenged his father's death by wiping out the whole Dragon family. It made him become the most powerful and most feared mafia and his family became the strongest. He had gotten married to one of his mistresses who got pregnant for him and had given him a child, a baby girl before she died in an automobile accident. That girl was the only human he had ever loved and protected with all his heart.
  • The Escorpion family remained the most dangerous and most feared family for years and no one was able to defeat them because those working there were the best of the best. The gang has more than one thousand members, not just ordinary members, but the most dangerous, sophisticated, loyal, smart, swift, and strong ones and other rival families had tried to buy out most of their workers but to no avail.
  • Maya Alvarez, popularly known as Red had not always been a dangerous woman. She had lost her parents at a very tender age and she and her twin sister had to live under the care of an aunt and her drunkard husband who treated them harshly. Maya was rebellious and had rebelled against her aunt and her husband a couple of times while trying to protect Mariana her twin sister. Deflowered by her aunt's husband and blamed by her aunt, she left the house at the age of fifteen in search of greener pastures. But life outside there was tough. She had joined the street kids to do some petty stealing to survive. A few months after she left the house, she took her sister away from her aunt's place and took her to an orphanage where the Mother superior was kind enough to offer her a job and a roof.
  • Maya decided that she wasn't the one to stay in the convent with the nuns, since she was the rebellious, street-wise, chaotic, and wicked one for she had told herself that it was only the wicked that make it through life while her sister Mariana was demure, quiet, kind and peaceful. They were too different and operated in different worlds but they loved each other. She went back to the streets as a solo thief, stealing her way through life. At the age of twenty, Maya was declared the most wanted anonymous criminal—no one knew who she was, because she went by the name Angel of Death. She killed without remorse and do anything to get what she wanted, but she lived a low-profile life to avert anyone's attention from her and never told anyone that she had a twin. She lived in a small shank at the outskirt of the city, in disguise. She worked part-time at a small restaurant as a cover for who she really was. Her uncle was her first kill. After making a lot of money from stealing, she had gone back to the orphanage to pick up her sister, but Mariana refused to go with her, saying she had fallen in love with the orphanage and the children and that she couldn't live with Maya's kind of life.
  • She met Miguel Dominguez at an affluence party where she had gone to steal. She usually attended such parties to steal gold wristwatches, bracelets, and other valuables she could get from those wealthy people. No one knows how she was able to attend such parties and she was so charming, that everyone was always attracted to the lady in red. That night, she had gone about her business stealing people's belongings, wristwatches, bracelets, necklaces, and wallets. Not knowing that Miguel had seen her, she had tried to take his Rolex watch from his wrist. He had grabbed her arm and smiled at her. She had never thought of men, she didn't know if she was interested in men and she had never thought any man handsome before, but that night, she had thought of the tall man, smiling down at her with the most charming smile and gracious grey eyes as beautiful.
  • "You are good, you should work for me," he had said to her, the smile still on his face.
  • She had flashed him a beautiful smile. A smile so sweet and innocent that one would think she could never hurt a fly.
  • "I will think about it," she had replied quietly.
  • He had bent to her ear level and had whispered, "Make it fast, I'm not good at waiting." He had given her his card and had released her arm, then he had removed the Rolex watch and had given it to her. "You needed it." He had walked away, leaving her gazing after him.
  • That moment, she had felt a connection between them, not love, but something more of admiration. No one has ever caught her red-handed before and this mysterious man was so cool about it. She had looked at his card and had read the name aloud. "Miguel Dominguez." She never thought about his offer, she completely forgot about him until his men showed up at her shank one day and reminded her of the offer. She sent them back with a message, telling him that she works for no one. Miguel didn't give up and she didn't give in. But as fate may have it, she got into trouble with one of the most dangerous mafia families, The Serpiente, which was the Spanish name of the Snake. This family was headed by Federico Rodriguez and it was a rival mafia family to the Escorpion. She had robbed and killed one of their men.
  • She had avoided them until they traced her to her shank and she managed to escape death that night of the invasion. She couldn't go to the convent because she didn't want to implicate her sister and she didn't want them to know she had a twin, because she knew they would use her sister against her or even kill her and she couldn't bear her sister Mariana dying because of her. Miguel had seized that opportunity. He had sent his men after her too and they got to her before The Serpiente and kidnapped her.
  • When she woke up, Miguel had reintroduced himself and had promised her protection only if she worked for him. She was resistant at first but when his men protected her from all attacks from the rival family, she gave in and started undergoing intense exercises to intensify her skills. In a few months, she went from being the newbie to the master's mistress. She was a lethal tool and was afraid of nothing, she was what Miguel wanted to remain at the top where he was. Before long, her fame spread in the gangdom and she became the most feared personnel because her killing skills were alarming and second to none. She never fails an operation. Miguel was what she wanted too, to keep up with her luxurious lifestyle without the source of her wealth being questioned, so their relationship was more beneficial.
  • Before long, other rival families started to offer to pay her more than Miguel was paying her, but she remained loyal to Miguel, not because she was his mistress but because Miguel was a man of his words , he never goes back on his words nor try to cheat his workers when it comes to their wages. He was a trustworthy man and that was his advantage over his rival families. She went by the name Angel of death until one day, Sofia, Miguel's daughter who hated her so much called her Red, and when she demanded why the little girl had called her that, the girl had said something shocking to her.
  • "Red is evil, red is dangerous and red is bloody and you are all of them. How do you recover after killing all those people?"
  • She didn't get angry with the girl, it had inspired her. Since red was her favorite color, she decided to go by the name. She was resilient, she was evil and unapologetically dangerous. Since that day, her signature name became Red, she got drops of blood tattoos on her back, between her shoulder blades, she wore red dresses before, but she got more of red and black attires, her lips were always smeared with red lipstick and it always suited her.
  • She didn't tell anyone about her twin sister except for her the best friend she made in the family, Alicia Garcia, pretty, boyish with short hair. Red admired Alicia so much because she was smart. She was a college graduate, she studied software engineering in college and was the best hacker in the whole of Spain. Alicia could hack anything and decipher any code. She was another dangerous tool and during operations, she had always deceived men with her innocent face and kindest smile. She was also nice to Sofia whom Red found annoying and had countlessly messed with the thought of snapping her neck. They have servants who worked in the house and there was Arturo, sexy, handsome strong. He was the coach and he had coached both Red and Alicia and had admired them a lot. Red later found out that Alicia had a secret crush on him but what she never found out was if she acted upon it or if Arturo reciprocated the feelings.
