Chapter 55 Five Years Is Too Long of a Time, I’m Already Bored of Things

• Cody didn’t enter the kitchen. Instead, he leaned against the doorframe and quietly watched Eliza.
• Eliza was clearly very relaxed like this. After a moment of stirring, she puttered around and stood off to the side to begin cutting up the other ingredients. Her tongue poked out to taste the contents of the pot before she quickly tossed in the vegetables. Her pale hands immediately got back to stirring the pot.
• The heating in the house was efficient. When coupled with the heat of the kitchen, Eliza had to strip down. She was now dressed in just a simple T-shirt, and it was one that she had dug out of Cody’s closet.
