Chapter 36 Admit Your Defeat

• Cody spoke with a calm voice. “You can go in first.”
• “Okay.” Yvonne didn’t question him at all. He ordered for the butler to proceed with the meal without having to wait for him. He then got back into the car and drove toward the direction that he had come from. Yvonne stood on her spot and watched the car leaving for a long while before she looked away. Cody said that the scarf was meant for his mother, yet he just left it in his car and brought it away once again. If I recall correctly, the scarf looks like it has already been used by someone.
• “Miss Oakley?” the butler called for her gently. She quickly snapped out of her daze before she turned to beam at him. “Sorry for the trouble,” she uttered. “No worries. It’s my job.” The two figures soon shuffled into the Brooks Residence.
