Chapter 128 What Are You Trying to Get From Him, Eliza?

• Ashley was just about to shut the door when she caught them being intimate with one another. She froze for a moment and shifted her gaze away before she sat on the couch in the hall. She didn’t seem like she was in a rush to leave. Soon enough, the doctor showed up to give Eliza a check-up in her room. Cody remained by her side the entire time without stepping away even for a second. He asked the doctor a few questions—mostly related to Eliza’s condition—and the doctor replied to him dutifully.
• Nearly 30 minutes had passed by the time the doctor left the room. Stanley completed the hospital discharge procedures for Eliza while she changed into a fresh set of clothes. She then put on a baseball cap and a scarf around her neck to ensure that she was well covered up.
• Cody led her out of the hospital. Eliza had always hated being at hospitals, perhaps because she associated it with Elaine’s illness. Even when she had a terrible cold, Eliza would still choose to stay home and self-medicate. She would never agree to step foot into the hospital unless there was an actual emergency. Furthermore, after spending the past two days in the hospital being stuck in a ward with no sunlight, Eliza felt like she couldn’t stay in the place for much longer. Thus she unconsciously hastened her footsteps as they headed out of the room when all of a sudden, she felt Cody grabbing onto her arm. “Why are you walking so quickly?”
