Chapter 13 Who Sent You?

• "Okay! This is also possible huh!"
• Lolita was surprised to see this option also working out. She realized that everything she thought of could be done. It's like everything around her listens to her thoughts and reacts accordingly.
• As Lolita sat comfortably in the tree awaiting her next target, she suddenly spots a black mamba approaching her steadily from behind.
• The snake was doing everything possible to make itself unnoticeable but Lolita still saw it. Startled to meet eye to eye with her, it halted its movements abruptly.
• Suddenly, Lolita had the feeling that she could understand the thoughts of the snake. Elves are creatures of nature who have a natural affinity to everything from nature.
• Unknowingly unlocking the abilities of Monella the Elf princess, Lolita heard everything the snake was thinking before it could even approach her. Her senses also became heightened as a result of her elven abilities awakening gradually.
• "How about we have a deal?"
• The snake was stunned and shocked to know that the human could communicate clearly with it.
• Lolita realized that the snake understood what she meant and then planned how to attack the next group of pursuers with the black mamba.
• As the two communicated with the 2.5m long snake coiled around Lolita's right arm, she continuously patted the tiny head of the second most venomous snake in the world.
• Surprisingly, it became a highly obedient and docile pet to Lolita Clint at the moment. The Snake felt a strange sense of calmness as Lolita continuously patted its head and it just couldn't wait to have more of her.
• Parting with the snake would then become the next big hurdle for Lolita to cross. She could have killed the snake if she wanted to but she preferred to borrow its hands to deal with a few more of her pursuers.
• Sometimes, it's just beautiful to sit and watch the fun with some popcorn and coca-cola in hand. Well, in this case, Lolita could only sit still and enjoy the view while taking in the fresh breeze from the trees.
• As the two, human and snake were having their bonding moment, a group of three pursuers was approaching from the main road. Lolita spotted them immediately, due to her height advantage.
• With a "Go!" she released the black mamba which moved swiftly along the tree branches towards its victims. As it neared them, the first of the three who happened to be leaning against a tree with one of his legs propped up became the first.
• He only felt a sting in his neck and attributed it to an insect bite. However, when he rubbed his neck region to relieve himself of the pain, he saw blood and was startled.
• Looking around, he saw nothing suspicious. However, he felt worried about not finding the snake that bit him because that was the only way he could get an antidote to it in time.
• Searching around for his other friends who were also scattered elsewhere, he realized they were nowhere to be found. He couldn't leave also because the key to his bike was with the rider who carried him as a passenger.
• Unknown to him, his other colleagues also faced similar situations. Every one of them began to panic because they knew a snake had bitten them but couldn't tell which snake it was.
• It was also a punishable offence for them to return without fulfilling their mission.
• Twenty minutes after being bitten by a black mamba, one may lose the ability to talk. After one hour, the individual becomes comatose, and within six hours without an antidote, death sets in.
• A person experiences pain, paralysis, and then death. Because the black mamba can strike about twelve times in one attack, it can kill its victims in the first twenty minutes.
• The first of its victims suddenly heard his companions calling for him but when he tried to respond, he realized he couldn't find his voice. He couldn't move either and fell face-flat to the ground.
• Death came for him faster than his companions. When the others couldn't hear his response, they tried to call him on the phone when suddenly, they both had a second wave of attack from the black mamba.
• The two fell to the ground at the same time, the same way the first victim did, and breathed their agonizing last as they watched each other without the slightest ability to help out.
• With eight people down, Lolita knew she was left with the four people in the van that followed the bikers. She then found a few tree branches and polished them with the jungle knife she always carries around.
• With the arrival of the occupants of the van, Lolita relied on her speed again and threw the branches which she had turned into spears at them.
• She got three pursuers that way and finally sought out to get the driver who was sitting behind the wheel. She wouldn't make the mistake of leaving anyone alive.
• He was sitting patiently, waiting for his friends who were out to get the little girl. He wished he could have some fun with her but he knew better than to allow his desires to get the better of him.
• However, when he tries to contact his friends to no avail, he opened the door of the van and stepped out for some fresh air.
• The driver tripped and nearly fell when he opened the door and found Lolita standing beside the van with an unidentified snake coiled around her arm.
• The scene of her patting the snake on the head made him wonder how she got here so fast while his other colleagues were out to get her.
• "Little girl, how did you get here and what do you think you are doing with that snake coiled around your hands?"
• Lolita kept silent as though she was mute, all the while communicating her plans to the snake.
• "Hurry up and get in the van!"
• Lolita only responded with an "okay" and walked towards the van. The driver let down his guard seeing her being so obedient.
• However, as he realized that the snake had disappeared, he was about to enquire about it when the snake from nowhere suddenly coiled around his neck.
• "It is known as the black mamba. The deadliest snake after the cobra. I know you don't need any further introduction!" Lolita announced.
• The driver tried to turn himself into a wolf but realized he couldn't. With each passing moment, however, the snake tightens its coil around him.
• His hands were just at akimbo and he couldn't even lift them to attempt to free himself.
• Lolita then asks out of boredom, "who sent you?"
