Chapter 12 Rocks Could Fly!

  • Lolita Clint and her fake companions continued their supposed race, meandering through vehicles on the highway.
  • She kept receiving cheers and praises from people who were supposed to be cursing at her for riding so dangerously on the road.
  • Many onlookers felt regret whenever Lolita zooms past them or they get out of her beautiful sight. Some tried to record the supposed race but the speed was too fast for them to control their camera.
  • As Lolita neared a road that led to Smallville, the picture of her grandmother's smiling face whenever she does something mischievous, pops up in her head.
  • Suddenly, her final moments flashed past her memory and she became as angry as a wounded lion. If the pursuers were privy to Lolita's mood, they would have fled for dear life.
  • Lolita wouldn't have her fun dealing with them otherwise. The thought of Gavin wanting her dead at all costs irked Lolita so much that her impression of werewolves became the worst.
  • She viewed them as creatures without scruples. Who would want to pay his savior back with death at all costs? Lolita reckoned that if an Alpha is so twisted, then his pack members must be nothing but a complete replica.
  • At the intersection between Smallville and Greenville, Lolita stopped and got off her motorbike. She then climbed a tall tree with ease and awaited her first pursuer.
  • The very first was a twenty-five-year-old she-wolf who has an extremely heightened sense of smell.
  • Reaching the motorbike she coveted from the moment she set her eyes on it, she bent down and trailed her hands on it for a while, with a beautiful smile on her lips "it's all mine."
  • She believed that Lolita had escaped on foot as her motorbike had run out of gas.
  • However, what she didn't know is that Lolita could set up her bike anyhow she wanted. She could even set it to indicate a full tank when there is absolutely no gas in it.
  • Suddenly, a strong wind blew and she found herself on top of a very tall tree. She was scared shitless as she knew she was just standing beside the motorbike a few seconds ago. "Where did the bike go?"
  • What happened? Which creature had she encountered in this place? She suddenly regretted asking the others to slow down as she didn't want to fight with anyone for Lolita's motorcycle.
  • As a creature of speed, she knew that the speed with which she moved from the ground to the tree was too fast to even imagine.
  • On the other hand, Lolita was dumbfounded and couldn't quite place her hands on what was happening. "What just happened? Did I just do that or what?"
  • She couldn't get how she climbed the tall tree so effortlessly, but that was still understandable.
  • However, moving with the speed of the wind like now, was unacceptable to Lolita. She couldn't understand how she did it.
  • All she could remember was wishing that she could do just that and it happened. What exactly was going on?
  • Even though Lolita was surprised, she was still vigilant as she knew she wasn't alone. Someone was out to get her after all.
  • So before the werewolf could recover her wits and understand what was going on, she turned into mincemeat. Lolita pushed her from the top of the tree to the ground many feet below.
  • Even as a werewolf, there was no surviving a fall from such a height. She didn't even put up any struggle as everything happened too fast to grasp.
  • Not even a scream was heard from her. In her confusion, she was killed before she could even know what was happening.
  • Lolita then took her sweet time to process the information. How did she just do that? The answer is still a mystery but then, a daring thought crossed her mind.
  • Lolita wanted to know how far she could go. To know whether she truly did that just now and if she could repeat it perhaps.
  • So when the next pursuer came in sight, she used the same trick, and surprisingly, it worked again. It was the same for the third and fourth until Lolita decided to explore her other options.
  • She then pictured herself stabbing the next person with the branch of a tree and she did just that.
  • With the speed of the wind, she picked a tree branch and rushed towards the next pursuer, stabbed him through the chest with the branch, and disappeared with him without leaving any trace.
  • Unlocking the traits of the vampire princess, Lolita felt joy in her newfound strength. She didn't know what it was but something inside her was attracted to the blood being spilled and she just couldn't get it.
  • Her adrenalin rush was heightened and Lolita went out in search of more blood. She did all these without getting a single drop on her clothes, except the little drops that spilled on her hands when she stabbed her previous victim.
  • Lolita then moved to another tree and awaited the arrival of her next victim. A bulky adult male then came to view. He was known as the trainer of the group who came.
  • As a lover of motorbikes himself, he trained the young werewolves in racing and had always been pleased with how far they'd come.
  • Smelling the familiar scent of his students, the leader wanted to find out why they haven't yet decided on who to get the bike as it was still lying in the middle of the road.
  • However, he picked a very strong smell of blood which he was certain belonged to his students. Now, this was a first.
  • The group he brought happened to be the cream of the crop. How come they got injured.
  • "Ah! These children never grow up. Silly me"
  • He suddenly felt that the youngsters had fought it out over the motorcycle and injured themselves in the process. As a result, he chose to wait for news as he stands against the bike.
  • He was anticipating their funny expression when they see him standing against the motorcycle they fought so hard to own.
  • With a shake of his head, he was about to send a message to Rubeetha, informing her of how they successfully cornered the young girl, when a strong wind suddenly blew against his face, with a flying rock in tow.
  • That was all he saw as he breathed his last, with a heavy rock smashed against his head.
  • This rock fell from the sky and he didn't know rocks could fly until the moment of his final breath.
