Chapter 23

• Jin's POV
• We are back to the estate — and back to my office. I have a lot of work to do yet I wasted the whole of yesterday trying to bring back that ungrateful girl. She's stupid for running away and doesn't deserve my mercy.
• The search for her is still fruitless — although we are not entirely empty handed. Four of Alfonso's gangsters are currently locked up at the estate prison. My men found the gangsters mercilessly beating up a man yesterday before the downpour began and ended up ruining our chase. Derrick told me the man had died and they left him where he was — apparently close to a dumpster.
