Chapter 19 Brewing Standoff [Titania]

  • When Pete pulls up in front of the house, I hurry out without waiting for Kristoff to open the door, or instruct me to go down. He seems disturbed, troubled, and after what happened at Boom Bazaar, my hate for him has only increased. Something must've altered his mood back at the club. Something sinister. I don't want to ask because it's not my business, and I really don't want to know. I love the fact that, like me, he couldn't have peace of mind. He deserves all the fucking ghosts and skeletons littering his closet, plaguing his life.
  • I brush past Ally who stands by the door with her face impassive. Rushing up the stairs, I throw myself on the bed and start weeping, the soreness between my legs intensifying as I cry. It's painful. It had been painful. And he didn't stop. I hadn't wanted him to stop. I'd enjoyed it, and that's what makes me hurt the most.
  • I hear Ally now as she comes up the stairs slowly. Not wanting her to see me in this state, I burrow deep into the sheets, clamping a hand over my nose to stifle my sniffling. She opens the door by a chink and pops a head in. “Is everything alright, Miss?”
