- Before Delta Gano could reach the shoreline of Sussex, the ship’s ladder connecting it to the port has been removed already by some ship’s crews. Delta Gano without any other recourse jumped from the port to the ship, to the surprise of the crews who just removed the ladder.
- “Sir, I am sorry; do you have a ticket?” One of the crew asked. Delta Gano was quick enough to think for an alibi.
