• Layla's gaze slowly moved to look at the doorway, her hand instantly let go of my jaw in reflex. From what I had identified as malice in her eyes it unexpectedly turned into terror. She hastily stood up, taking a few steps backward in progress. The uneasiness in her movements was too evident to be ignored.
