Chapter 2

  • Naina's POV
  • I was sleeping very peacefully when someone shook me with their hands. Sun rays were hitting on my face. I quickly covered my face with the duvet but somebody pushed it from my body.
  • "Hey Nainu, wake up. We're getting late. It's already 7:30 am," Rithu said.
  • OMG, I'm late today also. Please God save me from that witch.
  • Do you know who is that witch? I'll tell you. She's my professor, Mrs. Kanchana Vashisht. She is a very strict professor from all the lady professors in our university. She can kill all the students with her
  • looks. I hate that woman.
  • One day, I came late to class by one minute. She gave me the punishment of explaining the class to the students. I'm good in studies but not so good enough to explain classes. I really hate her. After cursing my professor I came out of my thoughts.
  • "Hey chill sweetheart, today we are going to meet our new professor," Rithu gushed making me confused.
  • "What?" I was shocked but happy too as we would be able to get relaxation from that witch.
  • "Yes today onwards in that witch's place a new professor will come," Rithu chirped excitedly.
  • "Ok," I mumbled as I had no interest in that professor. I went to the bathroom to do my morning chores. I came to the wardrobe to search for a dress.
  • I wore black top and blue jeans and kept my hair in a ponytail. I put vermilion on my forehead and covered it with my hair. I also covered my nuptial chain with the top.
  • Oops! Sorry. I haven't introduced myself.
  • I'm Naina Khanna, age twenty-four, studying masters in Chemistry. I came here leaving all my family members. I miss my family so much. I'll tell you a secret guys. I'm married.
  • Being a billionaire's wife I want to be down-to-earth and not a rich spoilt brat. I'm living in a flat with my friend Rithu. Rithu Aka Rithika. Just Rithika.
  • She's not rich like me. She is an orphan. Her parents left her at a very young age. I pity her parents as they lost a beautiful girl like her. She's a very good person at heart. You would wonder that how can an orphan live with me. Actually, she's the person who saved me.
  • One day I was crossing the road without looking. Suddenly, a truck came with high speed and was about to hit me but in a swift moment I was pushed to the other side and saved. She gave me a new life. After that I got to know that she is an orphan and is studying with a scholarship in the same college where I got admission.
  • So I offered her to stay with me in my flat but she declined saying that she will be a burden to me. After lot of insistence she gave up. We started staying together, going to college everyday and coming to study. This is our routine. I haven't disclosed anything to her about my life because I don't want to involve her in trouble with my problems.
  • Day by day our friendship is becoming stronger. I am a very lazy person and she is the one who always wakes me up. It has become an everyday feat to be awakened by her.
  • Now, I came outside with my books and bag. She was eating breakfast and was so involved in the magazine that she didn't even glance at me for once. I cleared my throat to grab her attention. She was still drooling over the man present on the front page of the magazine. I irritatedly took the magazine placed on the table.
  • "Hey, what are you doing? Nainu, please. I want to read the content about the man present there. Please, he's so handsome yaar. I'm checking if he's single or not," she pleaded me.
  • "Hey, not now dear. Later, when we get back to our flat." She just stomped her foot in irritation.
  • "And let's go. We're getting late
  • for the class and you said a new professor is coming to the class," I added making her smile wider.
  • "Yay! I want to meet that hotty professor." She was very enthusiastic to meet the new professor. I didn't know why she was damn excited to meet him.
  • "Ok, control your excitement dear," I said taking my belongings.
  • "Let's go." She took her belongings. We made our way to the exit and I unlocked the car and took the driving seat. The ride from home to college was peaceful because my dear Rithu didn't open her mouth making me sigh in relief. It took thirty minutes to reach our university.
  • In college we met our friends with a hi-fi.
  • "Hey guys, today we're meeting our new professor. Girls, I'm very excited," Soumya declared with a million dollar smile.
  • "Me too yaar," Kavya giggled.
  • "Hey, stop it guys. First we have to see how he will teach us?," Surbhi said making me smile. She is the one who always talks about studies but no one is interested in her talks. Rithu is a carefree person but she is a very clever student but not always involved in studies like me.
  • "You girls never change. Always drool over new professors and boys. I'm also here. Please stop your nonsense," Rohit glared at us. I could see the girls making faces at him which shut his mouth.
  • "Hey man, stop your lecture. We are girls and we've the right to check male members. And haa, I also know how you check Ms. Shaina, English lecturer ," Rithu sniggered.
  • "Really, Rohit!!" I exclaimed. I saw him scratching the back of his neck. I understood that Rithu was saying the truth. All men are same.
  • "Hey guys, stop your stupid fight. Let's go. We're getting late for the first lecture," I said stopping them from arguing.
  • We went to our class. After our first period ended our principal sir introduced us to our new lecturer Mr. Viraj, and then took his leave from the classroom.
  • He introduced himself as the Chemistry professor. That voice seemed familiar to me but I brushed those thoughts aside because why he would come here.
  • I didn't even glance at him for once but I heard someone murmuring that he's so hot, handsome and smart.
  • We were told to exchange introductions. As my turn came I didn't even peek at him. I didn't know why I didn't want to look at him.
  • After that class we came to canteen to eat lunch. I was about to sit on the chair when someone pulled it. I just closed my eyes feeling I would get injured but I didn't fall. Someone caught me by my waist. I shivered with his touch. I didn't see the face of my saviour. Before I could thank him he left the place. Strange...
  • Who was the culprit of this situation? I knew who that was. She was the bitch Natasha. She was my enemy from the first day of the college. I hate her as she wants attention from everyone. I don't have any idea why she always messes with me.
  • "Can't you keep your hands to yourself? This is my last warning to you otherwise I won't think twice to break your hands, you stupid girl," Rithu warned her.
  • "Naina are you fine?" Kavya asked me in a concerned tone.
  • "I am fine," I assured her.
  • I warned Natasha not to mess with me next time as the consequences would not be good. I ate lunch with my friends and finished all the lectures. After that Rithu and I went to our flat.
  • "Hey Naina, our lecturer is the same man on the magazine. Being a billionaire why does he want to work as a lecturer? I don't care about all these but I'm very happy," she grinned like a kid.
  • "Why do I think you have a crush on him?" I guffawed at her which made her flinch. She quickly covered up with a smile.
  • "I don't have a crush on him but when I saw him for the first time on the magazine I got a brotherly feeling and I am thinking to hook you up with him," she said running away from me.
  • "I don't have any interest in him and I am happy with my life," I frowned at her. She apologised and hugged me.
  • I went to room thinking about today's events and I want to thank that professor who saved me from injury. What was his name? Yeah, Mr. Viraj.
  • I laid beside Rithu and in sleep wove my hands around her. What to do? It's my habit. I miss my family and my love................
