Chapter 21 I Am Not A Candidate For Princess

  • At the end of the afternoon I got the results of my exams and was able to go home. In doubt about whether or not to go with Dereck's driver, I went to the bus stop. I couldn't depend on either his car or his driver. I was just Katrina Lee, no matter how ambitious I was in my life.
  • When I arrived I took a cold shower as the shower was still not fixed. I don't even know when that would happen. Who would? I changed and researched on my cell phone how to change shower resistance. It didn't seem that difficult. I went there and fixed it. When I opened the registry, it was heating up again.
  • I thought of Kim and definitely remembered that I was not a princess. I needed to remember that inside the castle, I was just a maid. Maybe I wouldn't have to change shower resistors, but it would be just as difficult. The proximity to Dereck somehow didn't do me so well. Although I knew his interests in me were solely as an informant, he was a handsome, fun-loving man and if he weren't a prince I could easily fall in love with him. I didn't want to get hurt. I couldn't suffer any more. My family's livelihood depended on that job. I could be beautiful, coming from a traditional family in Zone E, but currently broke. I've always had good people interested in me, I'd already been harassed by the university's dean, but that was all. I was just Katrina Lee.
