Chapter 63

• Following Antonio's compulsory absence from work, things had been pretty hectic for Lorenzo, especially with the new project he had at hand. He had set up an executive members committee to oversee the matters concerning the forthcoming fashion show but still, the input of Antonio was lacking. Lorenzo knew that if Antonio was fully involved at the foundational level, he wouldn’t have cause to worry. Do not get him wrong, there were no short of efficient people in this company but with Antonio, it was super duper efficiency.
• Lorenzo was working five times as hard to ensure that things were properly in order and because of this he barely have time to do other things, which included going to the Club. Many thought he had been absent from the club because of what went down between him and Nacho but in fact, he had been absent because, from that night, he had to work as both the president and vice president of his corporation following Antonio’s accident that happened that same night. Not only did he take up his responsibilities at the office he also had to look after him. Also, he hadn’t gone to the club because e he was embarrassed. After the speech after the speech delivered by Lilac, he couldn’t help but think he also threw her in a tight corner. He acted rashly by putting her in the middle of his rift with Nacho and for that, he felt remorseful and embarrassed. While he was giving her time to get over that night, he got deeply engrossed in work that he barely think about it during the day, safe for night times when he went to bed or on random where he would see the color, Lilac; or hear someone call the name Lilac.
• Chlöe still made coffee for him but that was all there was to their contact. He had barely spared her a second glance because every time, he had both his eyes and nose buried either on his laptop screen or some astronomical stack of folders.
