Chapter 5

  • Chapter 5: I am obsessed.
  • ~Ellie's pov~
  • My gown torn above my knee, tied on a tree, I felt immense pain weakening my body, I could not move. I wanted to scream but could not. I could not use my power either, the more I tried to, the more the pain hit me.
  • I looked, saw an older looking man in front of me. Stefan stands beside me, right in front me. The man handled the sword of Goujian, the oldest sword ever made to him. "If you want to see your mother again, kill her Stefan."
  • My eyes instantly changed from gold to red and then a bright blue. I fought, tried my best to shatter the chains but I couldn't. Someone was holding back my powers.
  • Stefan stepped forward, walking slowly to me with his eyes fixedly on me. I shivered when I saw him draw out the sword from its sheath. "You can't do this, Stefan. You are destroying your life, Stefan. You can not kill me." I cried out. His dad laughed aloud, I looked at him. He had a wicked grin across his lips.
  • "Kill her, Stefan. You have to save one, either your mom or your mate. Kill her now?!!."
  • Stefan looked at me with prying eyes. I didn't want him to become dark, I never wanted him to join his cruel father, "Please Stefan." He raised the Goujian sword up to the sky and looked at me.
  • "I'm sorry, Nellie."
  • I shut my eyes and waited for death. My life has come to an end, I have lost it all.
  • Few seconds later, no pain was felt, not a hole in my heart. I slowly opened my eyes and what I saw was terror. Stefan was lying lifelessly on the ground with the sword stuck into his heart.
  • The cloud became darker with every second that passed, up in the sky, the storm formed and became thunderous, my eyes turned gold and my hair emitted light, the chains broke into pieces and a look at Stefan's dad, he withdrew back.
  • A mixture of warm, moist air at low levels collides with dry, relatively cold air above, gradually turning into a wind storm. I send it to him and it sweeps him off the dusty ground. His cries hovered around the woods and I snapped my eyes.
  • Mom was gazing down at me. I yawned lightly and sat up. "The usual?" She asked me. I rubbed my eyes and nodded negatively, I stepped down from the bed. "Do you wanna talk about it?" She quests on. "Just a weird dream. I'll be fine."
  • I really wanted someone to speak to about my dreams, though mom mostly comes around to help but she can't know what I go through all night. I spend time in my dreams with my guilty conscience pricking my night rest everyday.
  • I wanted to help but I wanted to stay longer on earth, I can't go home now, can't afford to go back to that shitting life again. And last night, I woke up with another shitting dream again. For a whole week, I was relieved of my dreams just to have intimacy with Stefan, a guy I barely knew, someone that bullied my boyfriend and someone that has a girlfriend. Thinking of this right now gives me a reminder of what happened three days ago in class.
  • It gives me goosebumps as I wrap myself into a clean towel and step out of my bathroom. I had myself engrossed in the music playing in the background as I got dressed for school. I do not want to think of last night so I can have my mental health in check. I needed a mind rest that day because I knew I was gonna definitely dream again.
  • I carried my backpack and exited my room. I heard distant angry voices down and I knew Julia and her mom were at it again. "I heard you've not been attending classes, Julianna. And this time, I'm gonna talk to the dean." Julia scoffed and looked up at me stepping down from the last step. "If you're gonna ground me, maybe you should ask your precious daughter why boys are over her in school." She said and smirked.
  • Mom turned to look at me, "Mom, I can explain." I said. "Oopsy, she couldn't defend that, ask her why she's entangled in the fight between them. I'm off to school."
  • She leaves through the door.
  • I had to waste a lot of time explaining to mom the fight between Stefan and Jake. Believe me, it wasn't really easy. I stood in front of my locker and waited for Molly and Tyson. I swear, if Julia crosses my path ever again, I'm gonna give it back to her, I'm not bluffing.
  • Ghrrrrrrr!!!.
  • I walked to the class without them as they were nowhere around the school building. Stefan comes in later on with his brother, Aaron. Aaron, I think he doesn't speak much as he was always distant from classes and sports, he was always seen alone or he would miss classes.
  • "Your friends aren't in school." I heard a very familiar voice behind me. His lavender mixed with vanilla scent clouds my sense of smell and I breathed out trying to be calm. I've gone along with this scent since he stalked me in school. I would not go a day without seeing him.
  • He leans further and pokes his nose into my hair, "You smell nice, and I know you won't feel anything because you're human." Only if he knows how toxic his smell is right now. I turned instantly. "What do you mean?" He smiled. He touched my skin and my stomach fluttered with just a hand placed on my arm. He smells my arm and kisses it slightly.
  • "What are you doing?." A voice interrupts me. I opened my eyes and found Stefan looking at me amusedly. My cheeks turned crimson red instantly when I heard him chuckle. I almost kissed this dude in class, "Oh God!." I turned away, sweat was quickly forming on my forehead, I stood up immediately and ran out of the class with someone following behind.
  • I rushed into the girl's bathroom and reached out to tap. "Ellie, are you okay?. Come on, open the door." I hear Molly ask.
  • "Go away, Molly. I want to be alone." I shouted.
  • "No, I know you don't feel right, open the door or I break it." I look at myself in the mirror.
  • "Yeah, I know that was an empty threat, open the door or I slap myself. Ellie 1..2…" I opened the door and walked back to stand in the mirror. She took a few steps up to me and rubbed my arm from the back worriedly, I breathed out. "I'm in love, Molly." I waited for her to say something but nothing came. I was looking at her expression through the window.
  • "Wow, that's great news. Finally..I'm happy for Jake." She finally exclaimed. "Not Jake." I said and her smiles disappeared. She looked at me strangely. "It's Stefan Brown and I think I'm obsessed with him."
