Chapter 3

• Their drive home was quiet. Laura wasn’t comfortable with it. She knew that Scott was having a hard time because of what she told him earlier at the restaurant, not because he was jealous but because her mom never liked him and he knew it.
• Scott was scared that if Laura goes to see her mom, she might try to convince Laura to break up with him and he didn’t want to lose her, because he loves her a lot, but he felt Laura’s love for her mom might be enough to make her change her mind.
• They arrived home and Scott immediately got out of the car and went into the house, Laura followed behind. She needed to talk to him.
• “Scott, Scott…” she called, trying to keep up with his pace.
• She finally caught up with him and held his hand to stop him from moving any further.
• “Scott, why are you acting this way?” she asked.
• “It’s not fair, you know?... You’re making me feel guilty, like I've done something wrong.”
• She cupped her hands on his face to make him look at her.
• “It’s not like I’m leaving you for good.”
• He just kept staring at her.
• “Scott, please say something.”
• He took a deep breath then said,
• “It isn’t about you, Laura. It’s your mom that worries me.”
• “Why do you say that?” she asked.
• “We both know that your mom doesn’t like me and I'm scared she'd convince you to end our relationship.”
• “She wouldn’t do that.”
• “Oh please, Laura. You know what your mom is like and she'll stop at nothing to get what she wants.”
• “Scott, don’t you trust me?” she asked, sad that he wasn’t still convinced of how much she loved him.
• “I do trust you but…”
• “But what?... All that matters is the fact that I love you and no one is going to change that.”
• Laura leaned in and began kissing Scott slowly, he deepened the kiss and it soon became heated. Scott pinned her against the wall, placing hot kisses all over her. She couldn’t help but moan loudly which turned him on even more. They began taking off their clothes until they were only on their underwear.
• They stopped kissing, trying to catch their breaths for awhile, they were now both breathing heavily. Scott began kissing her once again.
• “Scott not right here, we don’t want to wake Karen up, do we?” she whispered.
• Then he carried her bridal style upstairs into their bedroom and placed her gently on the bed then captured her lips once again, he found her sweet spot and continued kissing it. Laura was in ecstasy.
• “Please Scott, just take me now.” she begged.
• He then took off her underwear and began caressing her body. He always loved it this way, watching her moan in pleasure, begging him to own her while he explored her body.
• Laura couldn’t take it anymore, she brought him closer by the neck and kissed him just to make sure he doesn’t torture her even more, she just needed him inside of her already. She began trailing kisses down his neck and found his sweet spot and that was it, he gave in and owned her that night like she wanted him to.
• They woke up the next morning and just remained in bed. Laura placed her head on Scott’s chest while he was stroking her hair.
• “Scott?”
• “Mmm?”
• “What about the replacement for a new secretary… Has anyone been hired?”
• “Not yet. Logan is working on it.”
• “Okay.”
• “I’ll be leaving for LA in two days.” she continued.
• “Will you be okay?” she asked.
• She removed her head from his chest to stared at him.
• “Don’t worry about me, I'll be fine.” he replied.
• “I love you, Scott.”
• “I love you more.”

• Two days later Scott drove Laura to the airport to drop her off personally.
• “I'll be back before you know it.” she said to Scott, giving him a goodbye hug.
• “I’ll keep that in mind.” he replied.
• “And don’t forget to say hi to your mom, okay?”
• “I won’t.”
• Her flight was ready for take off, she kissed Scott goodbye one last time and left. Laura was going to see her mom but she couldn’t understand why she still felt bad leaving Scott.
