• "Will someone please explain to me what is going on here?" The lady who turned out to be Andre's mom yelled. She turned to Felipe, scowling at him. "I left him in your care and you let him do this?!"
• Felipe had his head bowed, too ashamed to speak. I felt the same, the air was getting hotter and I felt cornered. Andre was about to speak up when she rose a finger, stopping him. "Not a word from you," she said. Her face had turned red as well as her ears. She was furious.
