Chapter 33 The Experience

• The elevator shaft illuminated as the lift doors parted. Tanya Jefferson led the way as the passengers got off. Today, she wore professionally, a grey shirt and long grey-shorts emphasizing her long model legs. Tanya Jefferson looked stunning. It was her first day in the office since she bagged the biggest contract the company has ever administered. So therefore, she had to look the part, perhaps Grandmother would honour her today.
• She smiled as she walked, her feet barely touching the ground. Every office desk she passed, women and men admired her. Some bowed as a greeting and a show of respect. As the end of her long-walk to her desk was ending, she frowned. Wasn't this the part where someone is supposed to be standing there smiling as she introduced her saying, "everyone, welcome Mrs Tanya Jefferson. Because of her, we won the two billion dollar contract." And everyone would be clapping as she neared her desk?
• "Mrs Tanya Jefferson," someone mentioned her name, startling her back to reality. "Grandmother wants to see you in her office, right now."
