• The next five days passed by in a blur. Caspian had left the state, which left me and the other heads of department to take up a whole lot of responsibility. I headed the marketing area of Octa all over the world. It made me a bit scared, because so much responsibility had never been put on me before.
• My dad felt it was pointless to let a girl handle a powerful company like his, so he let Reginald learn it all. But now, I head a department in a company way more powerful than his.
• 'Take that, bitch.' I thought smugly. My moment of smugness lasted for a few seconds. My dad's hand flying towards my face was the next thing I saw.
