Chapter 16 The Abandoned One

• It had been ten days since Adam started his mission to manage his workload at the office and home. Sabrina didn't seem angry at Elena, the senior secretary who was assigned to handle more tasks and check her work again.
• Due to the overwhelming amount of work and higher targets than usual, Adam didn't have time to take care of himself. He often skipped meals. Even though Sabrina invited him to have lunch or dinner, Adam was only focused on his work. He didn't want to disappoint his father who allowed him to fix the problems in the office. If he failed, all his efforts so far would be in vain.
• On the other hand, Maya, who only had positive thoughts about Adam, felt sorry for her husband's poor condition. She observed the face of the man who was currently sleeping soundly beside her. Adam's body lately looked thinner. His face didn't look fresh at all. Like he hadn't been eating or resting enough.
