Chapter 6 He Likes Me!

• Kaitlyn’s POV
• I went to Chris in his room. He just returned home and went straight to his room. He is working so hard.
• I knocked on the door and he opened the door.
• “Hey, Kate?” he asked.
• “Well, I want to talk about something,” I said. He nodded and let me in.
• Everywhere in his room, were only papers and files and laptops. I wonder how he does so much work without going insane.
• “Are you busy?” I asked.
• “Well, no busier than I always am,” he replied. I smiled.
• “So, tell me,” he said. I took a deep breath and then decided to tell him.
• “Well, Mr. Daniel asked me to be his girlfriend...” I said.
• I thought he would be happy. But instead, all the colours from his face faded and he looked at me with shock.
• “W-When?” he asked.
• “Today” I replied. “What happened?” I asked.
• “N-nothing” he said but I sensed a lie.
• “Chris, what’s wrong?” I asked.
• “Nothing,” he said. “You’re going to accept him?”
• “Y-Yes I suppose, I-I mean I am going to ask you this. You tell me” I said.
• He thought for a second. “It’s your choice” he said.
• Then I will accept him!
• “Then I am gonna say yes,” I said. He nodded and I left the room.
• Shouldn’t he be happy?

• Chris’ POV
• “Mr. Daniel asked me to be his girlfriend” as Kate said those words, fear rose in me. I can’t stop her, but I-I can’t let her go.
• What should I do?
• Keeping a stone on my heart, I allowed her and she happily left the room. How I wish you to be happy like this forever, Kate.
• But your life is no longer in my hands.
• It is in his.
• I messaged Daniel.
• “What’s this mess about?” I asked him.
• “What mess, Mr. Adams?” he asked.
• “Why girlfriend?” I asked.
• “Oh, that! She asked you, so. Actually, No Kidding, I like her” he said.
• I scoffed at his words. Like her?
• “At least don’t lie to me,” I said.
• “I am not because you are the last person I need to lie to”
• “Then why?” I asked.
• “Because she is good,” he said.
• “But” I was typing but he went offline.
• Is this true?
• Does he really like her?
• If it is true, then I want her to be happy, that’s all.
• But I am not believing him.
• I want her to be happy.
• Even if for that I have to give up my rights on her life decisions.

• Kaitlyn’s POV
• I decided to accept him the next day. I am so lucky! The CEO of the Sullivan Corporation, the most handsome bachelor, proposed to me!
• Anyways, I went to sleep because I don’t want to get late tomorrow.

• After getting up, I took my bath and did my chorus. Then I changed into my formal clothes, and tied my hair in a ponytail. And then I applied some makeup to look more beautiful. I just applied some lipstick and some foundation.
• I went to the office. As I entered, I could see lustful eyes on boys on me.
• Even if I was wearing formal and normal clothes, that I usually wear.
• What was the reason?
• Anyways, I went to his cabin and knocked on the door.
• “Come in,” Mr. Daniel said. I went inside, and he got up seeing me.
• His gaze went over to my eyes and then my nose, lips and he smiled.
• “So..?” he asked.
• “I think I also like you, so” I said. “Yes”
• He smiled and suddenly hugged me. I hugged him back.
• “You’re looking so damn beautiful, Kaitlyn,” he said. I blushed.
• “Well, you know that you always look hell handsome” I commented back.
• From my peripheral vision, I saw him blushing. I smiled.
• “Do you want to go out?” he asked.
• “Maybe” I said. He took my wrist softly and then went out of the building.
• In the way, he also told his PA that he would not return today and that she should manage everything. I saw her eyes widened as she saw him holding my hand but she managed to act indifferent.

• We are here. It is a beautiful restaurant.
• “I think lunch can be a good start,” he said. I nodded and smiled in reply.
• He ordered my favourite food by himself. I was shocked how he knew that.
• “Perks of being your boss” he answered my unasked question. I chuckled on his choice of words.
• “You look cute when you laugh,” he said. I blushed at his words again and he saw me keenly. I am sure my face would be red, so I covered it with my hand. He used his hands to remove my hands from my face and then kept them on my side.
• “Don’t hide your face. You look awesome when you blush” he said. And there I go blushing again.
• The food arrived and it was amazing. After we both completed the food, he paid the bill and we headed out.
• “So, how was our first date?” he asked. I smiled. “Beautiful” I replied.
• “Like you,” he said.
• Oh god, how many times will he make me blush.
• Suddenly I notice the media surrounding us.
• “Sorry babes, this is going to happen” he whispered in my ears. I nodded and then he looked at the group of reporters.
• “Who is this girl?”
• “Why are you two together?”
• “Are you two in a relationship?”
• “From how long are you together?”
• He kept a hand on his forehead, and then spoke. “I expect some privacy” and then took my hand and took me to his car and drove off.
• “Daniel, I think you should have not ignored them like this, you know what if they spend some rumours” I said.
• “It’s fine, I will manage,” he said. I nodded my head and sat straight. I opened the news channel to see if it’s on news yet.
• “Sister of Mr. Adams found going around with Mr. Sullivan. Rumours say that they are in a relationship”
• Oh fuck. Why did they include Chris in this...
• Will he go berserk hearing this?
• Will it affect his business?
• “Daniel, will Chris’ business be affected by this?” I asked.
• “I don’t think so,” he said.
• “And yours?” I asked.
• “Doesn’t matter,” he said and stopped the car. “I can leave my business for you”
• I blushed profusely at his words and was about to ask him why we stopped but then realized we had reached my house. I didn’t know when the time flew by, because it was evening already.
• I got out of the car. “Bye babes” he said.
• “Bye Daniel” I replied. He smiled and drove off.
• I headed inside the house and found Chris talking on his phone to someone.
• “I don’t care, I WANT 24 HOURS PROTECTION ON HER AT ALL COSTS!” he yelled.
• “NO, I DON’T CARE I TOLD YOU!!” he added. “FU*K YOU, MAN!!! I WANT SURVEILLANCE ON HER AND IT IS FINAL!” he yelled again.
• What is going on?

• “On who, Chris?” I asked.
