• Sofia came down the stairs. She saw Arnold. He was talking with a few guests. She knew who they were; she had seen them at Dale Corp. It was easy for her to steal him from them without arousing gossip.
• She pushed him closer, and he got the cue and lowered himself, giving her an ear. “Come with me; I have something to show you," she said.
• He turned and looked at the men, who had changed their focus to something else. "Excuse me," he said. Before turning to leave, the man nodded in affirmation as he followed her. The room was filled with people, and it was easy for Sofia to disappear, but he followed slivers of her until he saw her enter a room.
