• James went back home, his heart was heavy. He couldn’t believe what Serene did to Victoria. He didn’t know that Serene was so heartless. When he arrived home, his parents were discussing Serene’s video. Mrs Johnson was shaking her head, “I’m so disappointed in Serene, and what if something happened to our grandchild?” James sneered and said, “Serene doesn’t care about the baby, she wants Mrs Johnson's title.” James told his parents that when he visited Serene at the police station, she didn’t show any remorse. He told them that Serene said Timothy Anthony was Victoria’s sugar daddy. He looked at his father and said, “Daddy, I wish that I had listened to you when you told me that Serene was not a good person. I wish that I had tried harder when I was married to Victoria. I regret not listening to you daddy. I wish that mom supported you when you were trying to teach me a lesson. Now I know how much you loved me dad. My heart is broken into pieces.”
• His mother was sad when he heard James’s words and said, “even though I knew that Serene was not good for you, I supported you because I wanted you to make your own mistakes and learn from them.” James looked at his mother and said, “I’m not blaming you mom, I wish that I did things differently.” His mother looked at him, “how are you going to deal with this matter, we can’t let my daughter in law to be locked in the police custody as a criminal.” She didn’t care about Victoria, she deserved it. James was shocked when he heard his mother’s words. “Mom, Victoria is in the ICU fighting for her life, but I didn’t hear any remorse from you. I’m so disappointed in you. Why do you hate Victoria so much? When she was married to me, she tried to be a good daughter in law to you even though she knew that you didn’t like her. What has your precious daughter-in-law done for you since we got engaged? She is a criminal and she deserved to be locked up.” His mother was speechless; she didn’t utter a word to refute James. He walked to his room to sleep.
• Rosemary held her husband’s arm, “Hubby, please speak to Timothy to release my daughter-in-law because she is pregnant.” Emmanuel was fuming, “Victoria is pregnant too, but she is lying in hospital fighting for her life. Do you have any conscience? Please don’t involve me in this matter, go to Timothy yourself. Please don’t provoke Timothy. We are lucky that he didn’t attack our business.” Then he left his wife and went to their bedroom to sleep. Victoria had turned her husband and her son against her, she would never forgive her. She was scared to go to Timothy because previously he banned her from entering his restaurants and hotels. She decided to wait for Victoria to wake up.
