Chapter 5

  • Gwen's POV
  • The softness of the bed where I'm lying on, is beyond extra which make me wish to just cuddle this amazing bed forever. I don't care what's happening around me, whatever it is, I will not let go this huggable pillow.
  • Cuddling my pillow a little extra, I hear someone is clearing his throat.
  • Hey! You say it yourself that you won't let anyone or anything to bother your amazing moment with the pillow.
  • Are you nuts? Did you hear it? It sounded like a guy. How come there's a guy here in my room?
  • Your room? Ha ha, yeah I wish!
  • While my mind keeps fighting with herself, a memory of last night flooded into my mind. It suddenly knocks off my senses making my eyes snapped open in just a mere second.
  • Opening my eyes, I saw him. Yeah, him.
  • What's his name again? Geez, I still don't know.
  • Looking like a Greek God, crossing his arm on his broad chest with a stoic face. He's wearing a white sleeve with a tie that looks like he just finished doing it. His hair is slightly messy that makes him even more handsome.
  • Oh, holy molly! He's really hot!
  • "Are you done?" He cut off my daydreaming moments.
  • And yes, he just caught me ogling him. That embarrassing moment makes my face blushed and I'm sure I'm look like a tomato right now.
  • "D-done?" And here we are, stuttering.
  • "Yeah. Done. Done smiling like a creep while sleeping in my bed or lemme say done ogling me?" He inquired just so casually.
  • Phew! He's not so arrogant and rude. Yeah, note the sarcasm.
  • After some moments in a room, I went downstairs. He's already in the dining table eating some breakfast.
  • "Eat fast and we need to talk." He commanded like it's the most common thing for him and I just nodded for reply.
  • Rude.
  • When he noticed that I already finished eating he started.
  • "We have a lot of things to talk about. So let's start with, since you have an amnesia as we say, we will be assuming that you also don't know your name. Correct?"
  • "Yes."
  • "Hmm. So what do you want me to call you?" He asked.
  • "I don't know either. Can we just skip this first? I'll think about it."
  • He nodded. "Well, you have to know me so, I'm Bryce. Bryce Ford." He introduced himself and continue, "As you see, there's no one in this house aside from me and you. Meaning, before you came here, I'm the only one who lives here. There's a reason for that and I believe it's not necessary to tell you. My friends that you saw last night and sometimes my parents are the only people who are allowed here. Oh wait, also my personal housekeeper. She come here to clean once a week and she will be coming today to clean this house." His eyes directly looking at mine as he continue, "Since, I don't have a choice but to keep you here, I don't ask for anything aside from respect my privacy. I don't know how you got here but the room that you used last night was mine. From now on, you are not allowed there anymore, your room is next to mine. Your things to be needed is also in that room. You can asks me if you need anything, I'll help you with your basic needs until you regain your memory." He paused for a while, "If you don't have any questions, I'll be leaving now."
  • I remained silent for a moment trying to absorb and process all the things that he said. Hearing those word made me feel like I'm just a burden for him. But for sure of course, I am, but he didn't really need to say that in my face.
  • But you have to accept that fact. You don't have any memory and you don't have any other choice.
  • You are stronger than this. Don't let his words stuck in your mind.
  • Before I can say anything, he already left.
  • A moment after he left, his housekeeper arrived.
  • "Good morning Miss. I'm Celine, Bryce housekeeper." She greeted me.
  • She looks maybe around in her 50's and seems very nice and sweet.
  • "Good morning too, Celine. Even I want to, I can't tell you my name." I said with a slight chuckle.
  • "Oh, don't worry Miss, sir told me about you. I'll be calling you Miss for a while until you regain your memory." She replied with a chuckle also.
  • "Thank you. I didn't know that he told you, I just come here last night."
  • "You're right, I was shocked also when he told me that. You know, he doesn't let anyone here aside from his family but hearing what happened to you Miss, I feel so sorry about it." She said and I can feel her sympathy.
  • "Don't worry about it, Celine. I think I'm just fine and grateful knowing that he is still willing to help me even though he doesn't even know me." I replied to assure her that I'll be fine. "But wait, you said that he doesn't let anyone here aside from his family, but I saw his friends here last night." I continued.
  • "Oh, the four crazy children? Well, he considered them a family that's why. Those 5 are like brothers in blood. They are willing to kill for each other." She chuckled and I also did because of what she had called them crazy and children. I bet she is also close to those men.
  • "If you don't mind me asking, how long you've been working for Bryce?" I inquired.
  • "Since they were a kids, maybe 4 years old Miss. I'm actually his parents maid and his parents trusted me to be with him. His parents are also very kind Miss just like Sir.
  • "I'm sorry again Celine, but how old is he now?"
  • "He's 24 Miss."
  • "Does he have any siblings? And about his parents, where are they?" I asked suddenly become so curious.
  • She looked at me wide-eyed. "Miss if you don't mind me also asking, you don't know the 6F, do you?
  • I shrugged and reply a no.
  • "I don't know if it's because of my amnesia or maybe I really don't know them."
  • "Right, I'm sorry Miss, I forgot you have an amnesia." She looks so worried.
  • "It's fine Celine."
  • "Answering your question Miss, he doesn't have any siblings, all the 6F don't have any siblings. They are all the first child and the heirs of their businesses. And their parents are all in Los Angeles, Miss." She answered me.
  • It's official, I like her.
  • "Businesses? Meaning like they are all CEOs?" To say that I'm shocked is understatement. Those 5 handsome men are all CEOs? No wonder. Their wives or girlfriends must be so lucky.
  • She chuckled sweetly. "Yes Miss, they are CEOs even if sometimes they act like a 5-year old children.
  • I laughed at her statement and I think that's my first laugh here.
  • "Thank you Celine for entertaining me. I really need someone to talk to." I shrugged.
  • "No worries, Miss." She replied to me.
  • After that, she left to clean the house. Not so later, we continued our chat but not so private chat just a little information about what's happening around.
