Chapter 4 Best friend fiance

• Liliana and her mother finally got home, Stephen was already at home because he left their side first.
• Liliana was still lost in her thoughts that she didn't know when she got home.
• Yes, that was Jeremy, the only man she has ever liked even before she came of age.
• Liliana's mother was a local tailor but she was good at sewing, Liliana was the only one interested in tailoring while Stephen was interested in music and Mrs. Micheal didn't force any of her children to do what they didn't like. Liliana learned how to sew cloth and she was very good at it, she started learning at the age of seven years.
• She was able to stitch dolls cloth and simple things like that and with time she got better, Jeremy was also a tailor, he came from a rich family and was a well-known tailor.
• His beauty was striking and the maidens in the village all wanted to be his.
• Jeremy started teaching Liliana how to stitch some noble clothes which her mum was not good at because she was a local tailor. Liliana fell for Jeremy during those times and the fact that Jeremy was always treating Liliana nice was a pass for her, he never had a close relationship with any female in the village apart from Liliana so she thought he liked her and the special treatment she received was already a reason to think like that.
• But now he had a fiancee!!, a tear dropped out from her eyes.
• Her mother noticed how spaced out she was since they arrived and now she was crying
• She knew it was because of what she heard, her mother already knew about it and was looking for a way to tell her but who would have guessed that those two chitty chatters will ruin the plan for her, well it was not their fault.
• "Liliana I am sorry for not telling you, I wanted to but I didn't want to make you sad," Mrs. Micheal said and went to her side to wipe her tears, She looked at her mother in disbelief her mother also knew, " you also know mother?" She asked
• "Yes it was one of my customers that told me about it, I just didn't know how to tell you," she told her truthfully, which mother will be bold enough to tell her daughter the man she wishes to marry has a fiancee.
• She hugged her mother and started crying "mama what do I do now," she said between her sobs, her mother patted her back " Cry it all out my darling," she continued patting her back, that was the only advice she could give her, she could not promise to get Jeremy for her.
• After some minutes Liliana stopped crying, her brother came out and joined them to sit in the parlor, he shook his head " you look pathetic" he told her, Mrs. Michael glared at him "what?? I was only saying the truth, Why would he marry her when he is from a rich family " he added, Liliana thought of what her brother said and she felt the truth in it, There are tons of rich ladies why would he stoop so low as to marry her.
• "Don't listen to him, there is nothing wrong with you, Jeremy is the one at loss for not marrying you" Liliana's mother comforted her. Even though she reasoned with what Stephen said she didn't side with him because she knew that Stephen does not like Jeremy so that was why he was saying those words. He said them out of hatred and some of them were true too.
• Mrs. Micheal decided to change the topic
• "So what happened, why didn't you come home yesterday night??"
• Liliana wiped her face and remembered what happened to her yesterday night, she almost forgot she was shot.
• "I don't really know mother while going to deliver the cloth to Mrs. Queen I don't know what happened and I was suddenly shot and before I fell unconscious I saw a man beside me" she explained, she really didn't know what happened that night
• She remembered walking through the forest to deliver the cloth but while walking she was suddenly shot and fell unconscious then boom she found herself in a room, she found out it was a room in the palace when she was leaving.
• "You don't know who shot you ?" Mrs. Micheal asked her, how was it possible she didn't know who shot her.
• "Yes mother, I was carefully walking so as not to step on something dangerous so maybe if I had looked up I might have seen who shot me. I was taken to the palace and I met the man that saved me but I don't who he is!" she explained further. Her mother and Stephen listened to her carefully
• "The man that saved me didn't tell me who he was but he had this dangerous and powerful aura like he is a great person" yes she felt that aura when he entered the room " Maybe it was the king," Stephen asked since she said it was a great person aura it matched a king's aura.
• "What would a king be doing in the forest at night and even save a peasant like me" she pointed out " but it might be a palace worker since I was taken to the palace" she reasoned with it, only a person staying in the palace can carry her to the palace.
• "It is okay since you are fine let's not think of it again and you are not going to Mrs. Queen's place for now. I will find someone else to do that" Mrs. Micheal was happy her daughter was safe so she decided to push the bad energy away. Mrs. Queen was a widow rumored to have killed her husband and because of that she isolated herself away from the people, she stayed around the forest side. But Liliana didn't care about the rumor and treated Mrs. Queen nicely.
• "Since we are done grieving, Your Dream husband's fiancee is your best friend, Susan" Stephen informed her and left the parlor not ready to receive hits from his mother, the dream husband he was referring to is Jeremy
