Chapter 12

• “Ready to go back to school?” Zurie smiled slightly watching her mom set the table. It had been a week since she last went to school. After everything that had happened and Eileen explaining everything to her, Zurie had decided to go back to her normal life before the incident. She couldn’t continue staying cooped up at home doing nothing. Besides, as along as Eileen was with her, she was going to be fine so after much deliberation, she decided to go back to school.
• “Not excited, I feel way too normal for a school day” Zurie replied and her mom nodded at her.
• “I know. Things are not the same anymore Zurie, things are different for you now” her mom replied and Zurie nodded.
