Chapter 32

  • Blood, blood was everywhere. I could smell the heavy metallic scent in the air, and felt the stickiness of it as it coated my flesh. In the mere moment that I hit the floor my wolves had rushed forward, running to my aid. Snarls and yells erupted, the sound of rubble being sifted through making their way to my ears through the high pitched ringing. But I couldn’t see, and that was the main problem.
  • “Ruslana!” I heard Cerys yell over the ruckus my wolves were making. “You crazy bitch, why didn’t you move!”
  • I coughed, feeling as though my throat was coated in dust. “I couldn’t move, it was already too late.” I stated as I felt hands grab my arms. “They waited till I was at the door to set it off.”
