Chapter 25

  • The wolves didn’t even need to think about it. Their guns clattered to the floor, reaching for their swords in favor of a more up close and personal battle. My wolves holstered their weapons instead, obviously planning to use them after we cleaned this mess up. I pulled out my twin sword from its sheathe slung over my back, splitting the swords in preparation of the fight.
  • My brown bob blew slightly at the speed of a sword flying by my head, far too close for comfort. I swiveled to the side on the balls of my feet, cutting across her chest with a smooth swoop. She staggered, clutching her wound before she fell as the wolfsbane began to take effect.
  • I glanced around the lobby, blocking a few attacks while I counted how many people were left standing. There were only ten left standing pushed back near the wall. My wolves had encircled them, blocking off any other routes of escape while those on the frontlines fought. I doubted the door was a viable escape option anyways. Lower Alpha Reed was no doubt holed up on the other side, surrounded by those he considered to be nothing but meat shields.
