Chapter 9

• Time flew past as Nora was locked up under house arrest like a common criminal in the Willard house for two whole months, with her presence, ignored like evil in the air and her family throwing her under the bus like she didn't matter.
• With the two months, Nora's physique and her face became noticeably and increasingly rounded.
• Seeing Nora's condition, Nancy was the only person in floating air.
• Nancy looked at Nora who only had plain vegetables and some clear broth in front of her, and placed a piece of pork ribs onto her plate.
• “Nora, you look like you've been having quite an appetite. Here, have some of this”
• Nora simply glanced at the piece of pork ribs on her plate and immediately picked it out with her fork and dropped it away in another place.
• Nancy then acted as if she was hurt and laid her fork on the table "Nora, why did you throw out the piece of pork rib that I gave you? If I had offended you in any way, tell me, and I'll change. I won't repeat my mistakes ever again in the future "
• Seeing as Nancy was on the verge of crying, Mr. Gilbert Willard immediately frowned. It could be seen that a storm was brewing on his face.
• Slowly, he set down his knife before he slammed the dining table loudly. His cold

• "Nora, you're crossing the line! Your sister gave you her piece of rib. If you don't want it, fine, but what are you thinking tossing it out like that?
• Tessa Warner did not defend Nora but instead chose to comfort Nancy who seemed to be sniffling.
• Nora looked at Nancy and finally pushed a sentence out of her thin, pale lips.

• Nora's indifferent attitude just ignited the fire in Mr. Willard's heart.
• He pounded the table again and pointed at the pork ribs that she tossed out. "Pick it up! Eat it!"
• After hearing what her father had to say,Nora lifted her head slowly to reveal a glint of coldness that shone in her eyes.
• Her father wanted her to pick up the food she had discarded?
• "Father, how would people think about the Willard family if they hear of this?” She replied with an intention that suggested she had chosen not to pick up the food.
• With that, Gilbert Willard shot up from his seat in an attempt to grab Nora by the hair.
• Suddenly, Nora's eyes widened before she ran to the rubbish bin while covering her mouth.She then bent over and began to throw up into the bin, even her sweat, and tears were included.
• Everyone in the hall was speechless as they watched Nora's outburst.Among all of them, the most surprised person was Nancy.
• At that moment, an unfortunate thought glimmer through her mind.

• Her palms tightened into a fist. How can that be true? Not only did she send Nora to her dream man's bed, but she had also conceived in just one night after sleeping with Jace Haddock?

• Nora paused for a bit before her hands instinctively covered the tiny bump on her belly as she spaced out.

• The doctor nodded. "That's right. You are two months pregnant.”
• Hearing the doctor's words, Gilbert Willard and Tessa Warner, as well as Nancy all recalled the night when Nora did not come home.
• Gilbert Willard quickly grabbed Nora's wrist. The strength he used was so great, that that it bruised Nora's wrist.
• He dragged ber over to the doctor with a face full of fury. "Doctor, get her an abortion We don't want that baby!”

• She withdrew her hand from Mr.Willard's and held her bump tightly.
• "No! This is an innocent life, I can't let you take away his hope to be born into this world just after I've given this to him!”

• Gilbert Willard's palm landed hard on Nora's face was without any hint of mercy.
• "You whore! Do you mean to ruin the cooperation and relationship between the Willard and the Quades family?! You're supposed to be married to Julius!"
• Nancy stood aside, watching the scene unfold as her eyes narrowed gradually.
• Nora's unborn child is the child of Jace Haddock, the man who could decide the fate of the entire world! of

• A gentle hand grabbed Nora's wristy slowly stoppng her in ber tracks."Remember, if you want to protect your child, you have to try your best Then, you will be a good mother”
• With a warm smile hanging on the doctor's face, he then let go of Nora's wrist slowly.
• Nora's hand on her belly slowly tensed as if she was now filled with determination.
