Chapter 7

• By the time, Nancy got to the entrance of the bathroom, Nora has already finished vomiting.
• Then, she lowered her head to the wash basin to wash her face.
• Nancy walked up to the door and stood at the entrance with a curious gaze.
• Curiosity was clearly written all over her as she stood at the entrance with her eyes dilated.
• “Are you alright, Nora? What happened to you just now?” Nancy as if she was really concerned about her.
• Nora wasn't in the mood to continue to give explanations for things she has no idea of. She simply washed her mouth and headed back to the room.
• After that night, Nora suddenly developed some kind of skepticism toward her sister, Nancy. She didn't know the reasons but she just wanted to keep things to herself from now onwards.
• “Nora, you haven't said anything. Are you okay? Should I take you to the hospital?” Nancy persistently asked.
• “I'm fine. I don't need a doctor. I got a little nauseous earlier, maybe it's because I haven't had anything good to eat in a long time or I might have eaten something bad” Nora said. Her voice was low and weak.
• “Oh is that so? I'm so sorry you have to go through all of this.... It's all my fault, I didn't protect you well”.Kneeling beside Norah, Nancy could not help but share her thoughts.
• Norah clenched her jaw and looked up at
• Nancy. Her spirited eyes were filled with
• coldness.
• "Nancy, we were celebrating together that night. Didn't you realize I was gone
• after I got drunk?"
• Nancy held Norah's hand gently. "After you disappeared, I made everyone look for you. Are you suspecting me, Nora?"
• Nora looked away. She had this weird
• feeling that something was wrong.
• She only had a glass of wine because Nancy wanted her to make a toast and even insisted that she had a glass of wine even though she didn't wanted to. Nancy kept insisting she drank it.
• However, she remembered that when she was feeling dizzy. She could not even stand up on her own, let alone walk away. So,Cecilia had helped her to the room booked for her at the hotel but how come there was a man in there? how exactly was it possible for a man to be in the room?
• "Nora, you should really contemplate
• on this. The engagement between the
• Willard and the Quades is a huge event,
• you shouldn't mess it up because of your
• stubbornness!"
• Nancy employed a stricter tone to criticize Nora, who was still sitting awkwardly on the bed.
• Nora looked at the elegant Nancy with her
• jaw clenched. "You know, the one Julius Quade likes is you, and I don't like him. This marriage is supposed to be between you and him, but why did the bride turn out to be me instead?"
• "Nora, you should know that it was
• mom and dad who made the decision! Besides, you should be happy that you're able to contribute to the Willard family and it's not like you are being thrown into a dungeon but a palace instead. Many girls want this chance."
• Nancy scowled. The loving facade 'she had on before had melted away now that their parents were not here.
• Nora was initially shocked by this but she didn't allow the turnout of the event to reflect on her face.
• She should have known better than to trust someone like her, who has always been a lover of attention.
• ”Why didn't you marry him if you are eager to contribute to the Willard family” Nora raised her eyes and looked at Nancy with a cold gaze.
• Nancy was immediately stunned by this action. She had never imagined that Nors would speak to her in such a cold tone in her entire life.
• Nora has always been submissive and obediently obeyed everything she says in the past.
• Nancy had projected herself as a good person with a great heart in front of Nora in this past few years even though she can't say the same for the previous years they had together before she was taken to the countryside to stay with grandmother.
• “What are you talking about, Nora? Are you still mad about that day? I said I was sorry , right?”Nancy asked.
• “I'm not mad at you.....Just let me be all by myself for the time being, and take the shellfish soup along with you, I don't want it” Nora glanced at the tray of food.
• In the end, Nancy didn't want to drag the matter out of proportion and grudgingly went back to the table and picked up the plate of soup. Then, left.
• Standing outside of the room, Nancy held the plate of shellfish soup tightly. Her eyes glow with anger and her teeth gritted with hatred.
• “I hope Nora isn't blaming me for what happened, I still need her to transfer her shares to my name....I can't lose until I get what I want!”
• After saying that, Nancy snapped her legs on the floor angrily and left.
• Nancy paced around in her room for the time. She was worried that Nora might find out the truth and blamed her for whatever to her.
• If everyone learns that she was behind everything that happened to her.Then, everyone will castigate and put the blame of the entire matter on her.
• Before that happens, she wanted to discard everything including all the traces.
• Thinking of this, Nancy anxiously picked up her phone and called someone.
• “Hello, Mr. Mendez, this is the second young mistress speaking.Can you tell me who was staying at the presidential suite 104 on the 23rd of February?” Nancy asked. She was praying in her heart for the man on the other side to give her an answer.
• “Young Misstress, this is a very confidential information about our clients and we are not supposed to disclose this information to the public” The manger of Royal pearl hotel, John Mendez said.
• “I know, Mr. Mendez. But, this is a very sensitive matter and if you don't help me now, your hotel might get affected by the matter...Im sure you wouldn't want to be sued for an issue like this”.
• Nancy said with a hint of threats in her words.
• “Alrigh, Miss. But please keep this with you and don't let it out.According to our records, the person who stayed in that room that faithful night was Jace Haddock” The manager said.
• “Jace Haddock?” Nancy asked with disbelieve.Nancy's face
• was now filled with jealousy and fury
• “Yes, Miss. He was the one. Ehn ,I'll hang up now , Miss” With that , Mr. Mendez quickly ended the call ,before Nancy could say anything else.
• Nancy's brows were so tightly mesh together at this point, she then akimmed everything on her desk to the floor.
• Bang! Crash! Everything on the desk fell on the floor one after another, creating a cacophony of loud noises.
• As Nancy wheezed heavily, her face became increasingly red as red as a ripe tomato.
• What kind of a man was Jace Haddock?
• He was the richest man in the world, a man who could influence global economic development!
• The man who stood at the top of the world, who was the dream lover of any
• woman in the entire world!
• Almost every woman had dreamed about climbing into Jace Haddock's bed, but
• no one had yet to succeed! Of course, that included her.
• She was initially reckoned to marry Julius Quade. However, why did she turn back on her words? It was because she thought she could marry someone better iIn her mind, that someone is Jace Haddock!
• And because she didn't want to be forced to marry this Julius Quade of a person, she had asked her parents to bring Nora back and get her married in her stead.
• Nancy's hands balled tightly into a fist,which she then slammed heavily on the
• desk:She was the one who had sent her most despicable twin sister into the
• hands of her dream man, the bed of the Heavenly man with no comparison!
• Now, she was regretting her actions, so much that she would rather die!
• "Nora, once again you have taken what should be mine! You will pay for this!"
• She was so agitated that tears fell down her cheeks as she continued to fume in anger. She couldn't imagine Nora in the hands of her dream man.
• Having calmed down, Nancy switched on her phone and started to read the headlines on the news sites for the recent days.
• Every single heading of the famous newspaper and media houses were talking about the most wanted socialite and the works most famous business expert, Jace Haddock.
• There were several headlines about him. However, the one that piqued Nancy's interest was the one talking about his missing Chaney jacket.
• Why would a person like Jace Haddock look for an insignificant relinquishing jacket?
• Gazing at the image of the jacket on her screen,Nancy's eyes broadened in recognition. She was shocked at the sight of this picture.
• “Why does this jacket look so familiar!?”
• Bam!!
• Nancy's palm slammed on her deskagain as she suddenly stood up in surprise .
• Isn't this the same jacket that Nora came back in that night? the jacket
• brought back home that night was his?! That's Jace Haddock's missing jacket? Oh my gosh!
• 'Why would he look for a simple jacket. A billionaire has not suddenly become a pauper that has to live on the retrieval of a measly missing jacket like this,he's conceivably trying to find Nora who left with his jacket!
